Hey everyone,

Me and dh discussed that waiting will make us both miserable if we wait a year as we are so broody for children, and our financial position won't be so different after a year.

At the same time though he realises that getting pregnant might not be as quick and therefore I should still apply to do teacher training and see what I do.

If I get pregnant a few months before it starts, I don't think that I will do it and will do some home qualifications in IT instead, but if I don't get pregnant then I'll go ahead and do the teacher training and if I get pregnant after that then it's fine!

@Avoschmado
Not sure if I speak for everyone here, but what since when was ttc in your 20's being 'in a rush'
Young mum's to be, yes, found mum's already, yes, in a rush? No, just ready.

Clearly you're in no rush to grow up.

APositiveMind · 20/12/2018 12:22

That sounded harsher than it sounded in my head.
I'm just trying to say why judge by age?
Whenyoir ready your ready, surely?
Although apparently your never ready for a baby Grin

avoschmado · 20/12/2018 12:35

@APositiveMind lol. Ok. I'm 30 thanks!!!

Blueflower22 · 20/12/2018 13:15

@APositiveMind I find when your ready and you really feel like having a child and you know you'll try do do everything you can for a child I think people are ready then

Neverunderfed · 20/12/2018 13:56

Being honest, at this stage I wouldn't be swayed at all by your partner's feelings of 'broodiness'. He won't be making any sacrifices here, whereas you would be. And if you are unmarried, you have no protection should you stay at home with the baby. Of course if you have no assets to split that is less of a concern.

susso · 20/12/2018 20:09

Also TTC and 'young'! Just found out that I have PCOS though so it has been such a hard few weeks, we've been trying for about 9/10 months now so hoping it will happen soon! Good luck to everyone else, hope no one minds if I join😊

Also to all the negative comments on here, just let everyone do what they like? If a person is ready for a baby they are ready, you don't know anything about anyone on here so how can you judge? Also, there may be reasons (this is my case) that you are unaware of as to why that person is TTC at a younger age? I understand you might be giving advice but it's definitely not the 'friendly' kind! really why stuck your oar in when it's not needed... Just let everyone decide when they are ready, 18, 20, 30, 40... it really shouldn't matter to anyone x

By the way, By describing yourself as 'much wiser' because of your age, it doesn't sound too convincing 🤣

Blueflower22 · 20/12/2018 21:07

@susso hiii welcome, how are you doing?

Awww I'm so sorry that must have been difficult. If it's any consolation I was tested for endo and really thought I had it so was so scared thinking I wouldn't be able to conceive, but I didn't have it luckily.

What cycle day are you? How long have you been TTC for?!!

Chicken96 · 20/12/2018 23:31

Hi girlies😁 I'm 23 (in 2 weeks) and could maybe even be pregnant now 🤷 it's a very confusing time lol.. My partner (31) and I weren't actively trying to conceive but we would both be absolutely thrilled to bits if I was pregnant.. So interesting reading everyone's personal stories.. Boo to the naysayers! You do you and enjoy it! 😁

qwertt12 · 21/12/2018 00:50

@susso @Chicken96

Yey!! More people!!! Yes fully don't understand people judging when it's not there buisness but hey ho!!

Glad we can all enjoy together with no nastiness just help and encouragement

Hope you are all doing okay xxxxxxxx

Hi everyone!

@Blueflower22 ahh very glad to hear you don't have endo, my friend has it and it's hard on her!

I've been TTC for about 9-10 months now, getting a bit tired of it but hoping for good news in the new year!

Currently on CD5 but my cycles are all over the place so I'm completely out of Whack!

100% agree with ignoring the negative posts, so unfair saying things like that just because someone is taking a different life path!

Really lovely to see a young group on here as the majority of the groups on here are older women, although I've been in some lovely threads in the past too 😊

Hope everyone's okay x

APositiveMind · 22/12/2018 15:02

GUYSSSSSS! What does this mean?! I had to adjust the brightness and contrast to see it on the photo. It's there in person but so faint you have to literally strain your eyes squinting. I've had similar faint line on a cheap stick. Could this be an evap?!:(

APositiveMind · 22/12/2018 15:13

APositiveMind · 22/12/2018 15:17

It's going to be so hard waiting a few more days to test again.. And how will I explain to my mum I wonder drinking at Christmas if it is a BFP?! We're a processco with breakfast lunch and dinner kind of family, so she'll guess for sure!

cupcakesandglitter · 22/12/2018 15:21

Hi all sorry I've not spoken on this thread before, but I'm 23 and currently TTC too. We have another thread called TTC BABY NO.1 thread 10 (or 11) and there's a range of ages on there but there's quite a few of us girls all quite young. You're all welcome to join!! X

Blueflower22 · 22/12/2018 17:00

@APositiveMind I don't feel like it's my month too.

I tested yesterday which was 7dpo and got a negative and I just don't feel pregnant. But I'm hoping something good will come up.
