Worried about sudden irregular periods

Hi everyone

I’m new here! 👋🏻 I’ll soon be 31, TTC and for the last couple of months have been experiencing irregular periods. After 7 years I stopped taking the pill in April. My periods returned to normal immediately, basically to the day but were shorter than before (3 days). Then last month my period was late (14 days) and I had a pain in my lower abdoman on the right side. This month - same thing has happened. I’m currently 7 days late and still have the pain. It goes away occasionally but never fully. Sometimes it’s sharp others it’s more of a dull ache.

First doctor I saw said I was pregnant (despite three tests saying I wasn’t), second took bloods which came back “clear” whatever that means. I’ve got an ultra sound appointment which is on Friday because the doctor wondered if I had cycts. Annoyingly I am now experiencing my first UTI which doesn’t help matters.

Has anyone experienced the same or similar? I was full sure concieving after coming off the pill would be easy as pie as I’d always been regular with no complaints.

If I’m being brutally honest, I find the doctors uncaring and to be honest they look bored so I thought I’d turn to you caring ladies

My periods went to 3 days long very light and conceived no problem. In terms of the pain it may or may not be related, personally I think abdo pain in women should always be checked out, we’ve a lot more going on the in that area, it could be a load of things, appendix, cyst, IBS, if you have a third late period go back an ultrasound may be of use, when I book a gp appointment now I always ask if there is a gp with a specialist interest in women’s health then go with them, sorry they’ve been dismissive it’s not something that’s uncommon sadly
