Hand hold?

Good morning lovelies, feeling a bit down really and I know lots of you ladies have been in the same boat and I'm just wanting to sound off really and have a little hand hold!

I stopped BC back in Sept, today is CD90. I've had sore boobs, cramps, bad skin and various other PMT signs and nothing has happened. I've had a couple of days of random spotting but no AF, also BFN. Still DTD like bunnies though.

I have had a blood test and all levels, hormones etc are normal so it's a waiting game now until I've been off BC 6 months. I'm the wrong side of 30 & just losing the will at the moment!

Sorry, just venting! 🤷🏼‍♀️

It's so tough. 90 days is a mega long wait too, you poor thing.

My first cycle off the pill was 56 days and then they alternated between 45ish and really short (15/16) for about 8 months after that. Been off now since March 2017 and they have been consistently ~32 now since I had a course of acupuncture over Spring/Summer.

They will settle eventually but it's completely frustrating. I hope you get back to nice normal cycles and a BFP soon!

Oh - one thing I tried that may have helped or could all just be coincidence was myoinostiol. I buy the Viridian one which is a powder and you mix it into drinks. Tastes fine and also includes folic acid. Combo of the inositol and acupuncture seemed to settle my cycles into a rhythm. Good luck xx

It must be frustrating having to wait so long. Coming off birth control can be an unpredictable ride. It sounds like you are doing all the right things though - keep doing what you're doing and try not to stress. I bet you will get there eventually. Good luck!

wannabebump · 17/12/2018 19:11

Thank you both.

I think the frustrating thing is I knew that having BFP could take long enough, i just didn't give enough thought to prepare my myself for the "waiting on the ovaries wakening up" before even trying for a BFP 😪

Everyone is different but this is a tough boat. I don't think I've wanted AF to make an appearance before!! 🙈

@wannabebump I feel exactly the same about wishing I knew that my body would take it's sweet time to get back to norm after stopping the pill! It took around 80 days for ny first AF to arrive after stopping ajd evdn then it was pretty pathetic! Fingers crossed you won't have to wait much longer.

wannabebump · 30/12/2018 22:38

AF has arrived...OMG...never been so pleased to see her in my life! 🙌🏻 officially now on CD1 😁 (I do start counting from when it's bright red, yes?!)

@wannabebump yay that's great news! I remember when mine finally came I've never been so happy to see my period! Also, I didn't know at the time when I wrote my last post the other day in here, I was actually pregnant :) I started tracking my ovulation using opks which happened about 15 days after my period started.

Pastaallday · 30/12/2018 22:47

And yes start counting when it's bright red blood. But I say that, mine was a pathetic light brown first period that I could barely called a period! Still didn't matter though!

wannabebump · 30/12/2018 22:56

Congrats @Pastaallday... I haven't really caught up on posts over Xmas etc, but that's great news! 😘

It's bright red already, so defo CD1! X

@wannabebump the main reason I wrote that was to give you hope as I was in the same situation as you, came off pill in September, waited about 80 days for first period. Tracked my ovulation and was pregnant straight away. Very shocked. As I was panicing about my lack of periods and regular cycles! Good luck!

MrsP4 · 30/12/2018 23:08

I came off the pill in sept and currently on AF number 3 since stopping first cycle was 30days second was 27 and third was also 27 so think maybe that's the norm for me, been tracking using OPKs every month and DTD on all the right days but nothing yet! Had a big cry today because I just needed it, spent £50 on vitamins and supplements that Luisa Xissman used as read some great recipes do going to try that this cycle, I'm on CD2 so we can be cycle buddies for Jan @wannabebump Good luck! I hope January's your month

MrsP4 · 30/12/2018 23:10

Sorry massive typo there I meant Luisa Zissman* and I've read some great reviews 😂🙈
