I would rather my period would just come rather than all these negative tests but late period

My period has never ever been late

So I just can't understand

I am starting to worry which won't help but don't want to waste a doctors appointment

Any one god any answers or just want to rant like me? Haha feel free x

Late ovulation (or anovulation) is totally normal and really common. If you ovulate late (or don't ovulate) your af will be late or you would get a bfp later. I say it's common because there are multiple threads a day about this.

Learn a bit more about luteal phase and tracking ovulation, as women who do this know exactly when their period is due because the time between ov and the start of af is pretty static. But you can ov on any cycle day.

@qwertt12 I was very recently in exactly the same boat OP and I totally understand how horrible it is! In the end my cycle was 51 days, and towards the end of it I felt so miserable and desperate for my period to just start. I too have never had a late period, so it came completely out of the blue for me. I know it's considered to be normal across the range of experiences that women can have, but it certainly wasn't normal for me, and i found it worrying and incredibly frustrating at the same time.

On the day I was originally due to ovulate, I had a mega stressful weekend, and I think this must have been enough to delay ovulation and therefore totally throw out my cycle. I was tracking with OPKs and after that, the lutenizing hormone started going up and down like a yo-yo for several weeks. After the last peak (number 4!) I think I must have finally ovulated, as 14 days later, on the dot, my period arrived. Despite TTC too, I have never been as relieved and excited to see my period! I felt absolutely awful in my body/mood in those last few weeks, but as soon as it arrived everything just went back to normal.

I actually went to the doctors in the end, and they were very helpful and said it was a good thing I had come in, just to check it out. I'm sure everything is absolutely fine and it's just a wonky cycle, but if you feel you need to see a doc, that's what they are there for and hopefully they can put your mind at ease (this coming from someone who works in the NHS so fully aware of the funding pressures). And if on the off chance there is something amiss, it's always good to get it picked up early anyway.

This was me last week, so I feel for you. Like you, I'm in no rush, but AF was 13 days late & I must've spent an absolute fortune on tests, every one of them came out negative. I was feeling really nauseous for a number of days & was convinced I was pregnant, but I think in the end AF was probably late just because I'd had a bug or something. Female bodies eh, men don't know they're born Hmmx
