Hi ladies just wondered if you had an opionion on this?
Have been using the normal ones with the two lines but still haven't had a result - day 20 and starting to freak out a wee bit even though I have a 34ish day cycle.
What do you reckon? Are the digtal ones worth the money?
Also when is the best time of day to test? Have been doing it in the morning but then read that the afternoon is better?

Thanks
x

I think you're just supposed to do it at the same time each day, so keep going in the morning for the rest of this month I would have thought (having absolutely no expertise in the subject). I have a 31 day cycle and it took about 23 days before I got my digital smiley face this month. Kept saying to DP no, not yet, until finally just said oh sod it, can't wait any longer (IYKWIM). Smiley face popped up the next day and now due Feb 24!!! Digital preg test stick too. Love the fact you're not staring at a line wondering whether it is a line or not!!

Gybegirl firstly congrats! How exciting for you! Thanks so much for your advice and so, so pleased to hear that you got it on day 23. I have just come off the pill and am really worried that I won't ov this month (even though I always have when I've come off in the past) but hearing that gives me hope!
Were you trying to save up DP's sperm and that's why you held off? Thinking that I would ov earlier than this we've been doing it every day for five days - now also worried that he'll have run out by the time we actually get there!
Going out to get digital tests now!

Rather amusingly yes I was. Not sure that was ever going to really be a problem though . However, thought if I'm forking out 20 quid on some sticks to pee on every little helps! It may take a while to sort out your cycle if you've just come off the pill (well mine did) so don't forget to write it down so you'll be able to work out when you're fertile. Don't worry if it takes a few months (ours did) and Good Luck x

Thanks for the advice. You're so right I shouldn't worry if it takes a few months, but now we have decided to start ttc it's all I can think about!
Just out of interest, did you get preggers the first month you use the ov tests or had you been using them for a while already?

Waited a few months and nothing. DP works away and on shifts a lot so thought I'd find out when was possible. Got pregnant at 4 months in the first month I used the happy face sticks. (Have a DD 15 months and used them to get pregnant with her too).

Good for you gybegirl! Thanks for all your help. Hope you have a lovely, happy, healthy pregnancy. Have just bought the digital ones so hopefully see you on the preggy threads soon!
