Positive opk followed by a fainter line few days later?

Anyone help? I had a blazing opk line on Monday morning. Disappeared by Tuesday. Now I've just done another one and although it's not positive, I can see a line again.
Did I just not ovulate yet? How can the line be strong, disappear and then reappear again within 4 days!?

When I did opks I had a really quick surge so it's not unusual to now be negative. You usually ovulate between 12-36 hours after a positive opk so make sure you dtd.

I have never had a positive over 2 days. Have you any other symptoms like egg White cm or cramps?

Pastaallday · 13/12/2018 20:25

So basically:
Monday morning - blazing positive
Tuesday - no line at all (totally normal I assume)
Thursday 6pm - a faint but noticeable line
Thursday 8pm - no line at all!
I'm so confused!

That seems perfectly normal. It's common to have some level of LH in your system at any time in your cycle. A faint line means nothing.

No cramps really and I've not particularly noticed cm but never tracked it before tbh!
My bbt did go from 36.45 to 36.73 this morning though?

@Celebelly thanks. Is it common to one day have no line st all and then next a faint line etc and back to nothing?

I was worried that it meant my body didn't actually ovulate and was trying again

Yep. I wouldn't worry about it. If you're tracking BBT you'll know in three days or so if you've ovulated or not if you get three temps above cover line. OPKs aren't really useful for telling if you've ovulated - only that you might be about to.

You can still have LH in your urine. I quite often still see two lines at other times during my cycle.

The strength of my faint lines are all over the place - sometimes fairly visible sometimes almost positive. But it’s only once a cycle I get a definite dark positive so I completely ignore everything else.
