First Day of the TWW anyone else???

So here we go again starting the TWW. I swore I wasnt gonna be as crazy this month about it all but still driving myself nuts

Hi, I'm not sure exactly what day in on as this is only my second month tracking ovaultion. I got positive opk on Monday morning but no temperature rise tue or wed. I did get a bit of a rise this morning though so perhaps I have ovulated? Maybe 1/2/3 dpo!

I have literally just done it tracking my cm and using the ovia app so hopefully we did the baby dance had the right time haha

Me too - I'm ~2po. This is our last cycle TTC as I'm having IVF for genetic reasons (have a 50% chance of passing on a condition that's not compatible with life) and the clinic insist on us being on contraception from as soon as we sign the form saying we want to go ahead. So returning everything in January and having this cycle as a last crack of the whip!

I'm trying to be chilled but because it's the last cycle I'm so hopeful. That said even if I am pregnant we'd then have the waiting game to see if the baby was healthy, so it's possibly better if I'm not!

How long have you both been TTC? The TWW is the worst isn't it!

I’m day 2 of an 5 day transfer. My test is on 24th Dec smile]

@ivf2019 good luck with your ivf cycle (if it comes to that) for me it wasn’t bad. I had 5 embryos (all 5 day embryos)
Fresh was bfn
1st frozen bfn
2nd frozen bfp (11month baby girl)
And I’m on 4th one now. I’m so nervous!!

Ooooh fingers crossed @bananacloud! What a lovely Christmas present a BFP would be. I really hope it is!

Thank you - it's a long old wait so earliest we'll actually be starting treatment would probably be August but they insist on you being on "robust contraception" from the minute you sign the forms. Which is a whole other massive eyeroll but nevermind, it will be worth it if it works!

When you testing during your tww @ivf2019?

Not sure. I have two CB and two FRER tests at home from being optimistic last month (period arrived before I needed them ha) so it's going to be hard not to start testing early!

I'm due on 23rd/24th so going to try and hold out testing until the 21st when I'll be 10dpo. My period has turned up perfectly timed to ruin most big events this year so I'm not expecting it to let me have Christmas off haha.

What about you, will you hold off until OTD?

Well i think mines slightly different to you ladies due to it being ivf.
So I’m thinking I’ll start testing as early as Sunday.
Ok so what I’ve done is kept my feet nice and warm (hot water bottle and socks l) helps with implantation and been eating Brazilian nuts, that helps too apparently. Try it ladies xx

@ivf2019 good luck! I have everything crossed for you. I reckon I'll also be approx 10 dpo on the 21st so might test same day as you! I think ill be due on around xmas/boxing day. Tbh this is my v first proper attempt at ttc no.1 through tracking ovulation etc. I've been off the pill since September. So think my cycles are still settling.
Even though it's only a month I feel like I'm going to be disappointed if it's a bfn which is ridiculous really! At least I'll be able to have a Xmas drink I suppose!

Well I've just done another opk randomly and it's not positive, but there's a line there that wasnt yesterday. So maybe i didn't ovulate is it possible to get another positive opk in a few days?!

I will be around 10 dpo on the 22nd Af is due on the 27th. Im only 2 dpo and already driving myself crazy wondering is this our lucky cycle x

@Emmalouise5688 yup think I am about 3 or 4dpo and feels like ages till I can test! What day are you going to test? How many months have you ttc?

@pastaallday Think im gonna test either next Sat hubby is out on a lads day so if im having symptoms will maybe check then failing that then Christmas eve. We are on cycle 3 now had a chemical on our first. How about you?

I've got a load of those One step pregnancy tests that I got with my OPKS so may use one of those next week at some point but will save my frer to maybe 22nd. (After my work Xmas party unfortunately!) I've been off the pill since September but this is my first month TTC properly and tracking using Opks and temping. Hoping we dtd at the right times! Sorry about your chemical, I'm not entirely sure what that is tbh. How did you know?

@pastaallday a chemical is a very early miscarrige I had a positive test two days before I started bleeding was followed up by gp with bloods that confirmed it was a very earyl mc (chemical pregnancy) im going crazy symptom spotting all ready Im breaking out in spots never get spots my nipples are soar and my breasts are swollen and my stomach feels like that pre period like bloated and if as if im gonna come on x

Me to gonna be such a long week at work the tww wait is the worst espesh this month knowing how special a bfp would be x

Can I join too? I O sometime around 11-13th so due AF sometime around 25th
We have been trying for 8 months or so, but currently under fertility investigations (I have cycles 32-42 days, quite irregular, cycstic ovaries). It would be so lovely to have a BFP for Christmas!

What are people's symptoms? At ~7dpo I've got slightly tender boobs/nips (I always get them from O anyway), tired, bloated heavy tummy, windy Quite emotional as well.

I still have barely any noticeable symptoms. I'm not holding out much hope! Does anyone have to one step cheapy tests from Amazon? I'm guessing they're not going to show a possible positive until I was late for ny period. But don't want to waste my frer. I only have 2! Think I'll try hold off until Sat when I'll be 11dpo I think. Although my bbt is looking a bit off this week so not sure what's going on.

I've got heartburn 🤔 the only other time I've had this is with my DD but not this early????

7dpo ish here today. Trying (failing) not to think about it much!

Spending Christmas with very newborn nephew which will be lovely but it'll be just my luck to come on my period on Christmas eve and then be surrounded by a cute baby and people fawning over said cute baby for 3 days!

No symptoms to report but I don't get much in the way of pre-AF symptoms anyway - never had a sore boob in my life!

If any of you do get BFPs how will you handle not drinking on Christmas day - would your family guess? Mine DEFINITELY would so I'd have to tell them even though I'd only be 4.5 weeks...
