My husband has never really been particularly fussed about having children but has always said 'one day'. Well about a year ago we decided I would come off the pill this year and give it a go. So now I have, very recently. He has always been very up for dtd but last few times has been a little reluctant which is unusual for him! I'm not letting him know when I ovulate etc as don't want him to have the added stress. Hoping it's just a phase. I've asked him if everything's ok and he says it's fine. Is it usual to have cold feet?

I'd talk about this before you get pregnant, if he's having cold feet now you could end up in a really bad situation if you fall pregnant and he changes his mind.

My husband was like this.

I asked him why he wasn’t in the mood (usually couldn’t get enough) and we had a very open conversation about it.

It was sort of cold feet, mainly because we’d spent so long preventing pregnancy and now we were actively encouraging it. It probably didn’t help that ovulation made me super horny either! Quite offputting it seemed!

I told him that we’d take it at his pace and see how we went. That ended up being the month we got pregnant though, so I don’t know how that would have worked long term.

You need to sit down and have an honest conversation, hope it all goes well x
