Hi!

Is there anyone else who is waiting to TTC until next month? Support thread here if needed! Would be nice to speak to some others during the wait!

Hi @gizmosslave!

We're also going to be ttc next month, I'm so excited I can't wait. This will be baby #2 for us, we already have a 2 year old little boy.

Will this be your first baby?

bea179 · 07/12/2018 21:37

Hi 👋🏼
I came off the mini pill two weeks ago - so I guess technically trying from now but basically just waiting for periods to regulate I guess.
This will (hopefully) be baby number 1 for me.
Exciting but a bit scary too!

AbbeyLouise · 07/12/2018 21:45

Hi @bea179 it's so exciting but I must admit I am a little scared too even though I know what to expect, just can't imagine being a mum to two little ones. I'm going to finish off this packet of the pill (mini pill aswell) and hopefully give myself a little time to let my cycles settle.

Good luck with ttc Thanks

HJWT · 07/12/2018 22:03

There is a couple of threads already for TTC in January I'm on two Smile or 3 now!! I can't wait x

CaramelCluster · 08/12/2018 09:12

Hey @gizmosslave I will hopefully be joining you on the 'January Journey'. We're planning to start trying for our first next month; getting through this year after a crazy busy but exciting conclusion and enjoying that Christmas feast without a care!

I say this but my OH could get cold feet once the new year hits 🤣

APositiveMind · 08/12/2018 19:13

Also planning to ttc next month! I am due to of age on new years eve so that's exciting!

Gri80 · 09/12/2018 17:36

Hi all, im a total newbie...i just stopped taking the mini pill...GP said just stop whenever you are ready...if ever and good luck...
I have two kids and for some reason we postponed and postponed the next one, so much that my youngest just turned 11 and I'm 38 now...so i guess its now or never :) hope to see you around...

Muffin9120 · 09/12/2018 21:58

Hey (: also waiting before trying though my OH wants to wait until summer so I’ve got a bit longer to wait than you guys 😔

thosethreewords · 10/12/2018 00:25

Hi everyone!! We're also TTC #1!
Just had my mirena remover so I guess we are starting now but this last 2 months I've been a bit lax in measuring cycles fully, so need to get back to it!

Muffin9120 · 10/12/2018 15:57

I’ve just started measuring mine, so when the time comes I’ll be 100% prepared 😁

APositiveMind · 10/12/2018 22:25

Do any of you lovelies ever feel when your ovulating? Not ttc until January but I've had a pinching sensation on my left side slightly above my pubic bone sort of and feeling a bit like I've got cramp or a stitch.
My flo app said I ovulate on the 4th of December and has said since yesterday 'low chance of getting pregnant' as AF is due in 9 days. We dtd last night and don't use anything because if it happens then great but OH wants to wait until January and due to 'low chance of getting pregnant' I think he felt a little safer.. lol. Do you think I may have ovulate late?! Blush

Muffin9120 · 11/12/2018 17:33

Not much of a useful reply cause I haven’t really tracked my ovulation yet (just starting) so I wouldn’t no but low chance of getting pregnant at least means it is possible so more chance than when using contraception 🤷‍♀️ Fingers crossed for you anyway, didn’t want to read and run x

thosethreewords · 11/12/2018 22:17

@APositiveMind I do tend to feel ovulating (I think) but that's only based on when my periods are because I've not been actually measuring signs until now. Unless you measure BBT/ OPKs/ CM you won't have a reliable indicator of ovulation because the app uses averages to predict when you are ovulating.

Your luteal phase - ovulation to first day of period - is usually constant and around 12-14 days (but it can be shorter or longer, it's quite individual). I'm not sure what value the apps use to predict, probably 14 days if that's the most common.

Does that make sense?

APositiveMind · 12/12/2018 07:12

That does make sense! And I've been wondering what the luteal phase us.
Thank you I'm a bit more clued up now 😁😁

Mamatodoodles · 12/12/2018 08:30

Hi everyone, can I join?

DH and I have decided to TTC #2 next month. Currently mama to a 4 month old (call me crazy!!).

I can’t wait! Good luck to everybody!

HJWT · 12/12/2018 09:55

@Mamatodoodles you are crazy 😂 we are trying for #2 but our DD will be 3 when the next one arrives! We wanted one after the other then she turned one and we decided to wait 🤪 haha xx

FairyLightFiend · 12/12/2018 10:02

Me too! We stopped using contraceptives this month, but avoided when I thought I was ovulating (DH doesn’t realise quite what I was doing - I just wanted a month to get a bit more used to the idea! Blush). We’re going to properly start trying over Christmas! I’m SO nervous about it all! It’s a whole new world!

gizmosslave · 12/12/2018 11:46

Sorry guys busy busy week! So lovely you are all here!

This will hopefully be baby #2 for me. We have a 16 month old and are getting married in June, I didn’t want to be more than 5 months pregnant for the wedding!

gizmosslave · 12/12/2018 11:48

I’ve not officially come off the pill I’ve just been terrible at taking it😂 I couldn’t decide whether to come off it to regulate cycles again or to wait til jan to come off it properly!

OP posts:
HJWT · 12/12/2018 11:53

@gizmosslave Iv booked to have my implant removed next week, but I came on today so now I think I'm going to end up ovulating at Christmas 😩

gizmosslave · 12/12/2018 11:54

Ohhh nooo! Would you start trying at Christmas or is there a reason you are waiting til next month?

OP posts:
HJWT · 12/12/2018 12:02

@gizmosslave DD Birthday is in September I think my DH would have heart attack if there birthdays were in the same week 😂

gizmosslave · 12/12/2018 12:03

@HJWT makes perfect sense! Our DS is end of August so would be a nice gap!

OP posts:
thosethreewords · 12/12/2018 13:25

I've had some spotting today so I don't know if this is my new CD1 or what's going on. Only day 3 post coil removal so could be related to that!

Mamatodoodles · 12/12/2018 13:34

@HJWT yes I am crazy! But I am soo broody and my DH has 2 sisters who are 11 months apart and really great friends so I know it would be hard work but there’s nothing I want more! 😀
