Conception and bereavement

When my grandad passed away I found out I was pregnant with DS. My grandma passed away this afternoon and I did a test. I'm pregnant (delighted) both paternal grandparents.

When my maternal grandfather and grandmother passed my cousins found out they were pregnant.
Is this coincidental or have other people experienced this?

It is probably coincidental but it always seems to happen. Although it's likely to be cognitive bias; you notice life more after a death and you have a point in time to attach the news to.

Although I prefer the thought that "an old life has to give way for a new"

What!!
I’ve been pregnant 9 times, are you telling me that I’m responsible for 9 deaths so that I can have babies!!
Good grief, my day is now ruined.
