Has anyone had this before?

I've had the copper coil for four years, periods have been like clockwork. Never had any issues. then about 2 and a half weeks ago I started to get period pains when i really was not due on which i thought was strange, then hormonal crying at everything. Then my period was late. On the day my period was late i did a digital test which was negative then one the following day, negative again. Today I am four days late and got a faint positive. I still have period pains and have had them for weeks. What is going on I am so confused!

Have you checked the threads? That does look positive, GP ASAP you’ll likely need a scan to check for coil position, you mention pain is it on one side? Is it getting worse? If so A&E as if you are pregnant there’s an increased risk of an ectopic, sorry this is happening to you OP

I've had it in one side of the pelvis mostly but today I have had lower back. I'll be making an emergency appointment tomorrow. Thanks

It certainly looks as though you’re pregnant. Get checked out as a matter of urgency. Try not to worry though ( easier said than done) At least if you get checked out you will know your options x

You just use your fingers to reach to feel the threads, but if your uncomfortable doing so then dont, just remember A&E if that pain comes on one side or gets worse (I sound like a broken record I know ) but it’s really important, wishing you the best OP, your head will be all over the place x
