Bleeding during fertile window

Hello,
I'm new to Mumsnet but was hoping someone might be able to put my mind at ease.
We are trying to conceive and I am in my fertile window (due to ovulate around today/tomorrow)
I have had the egg white c.m (sorry TMI) but today and the last two days have been heavily streaked with blood, everytime I go to the loo I'm finding it.
I don't have cramps. Could this be a random period?
My periods are very regular, give or take the odd late day.
I have a two year old and conceived him easily and quickly.
Period isn't due for another 15 days, or has it come early?
Thanks so much in advance! Sorry for the essay!

I haven't experienced this myself, but I've heard about some women experiencing spotting around ovulation (due to drop in estrogen or something).

If you start experiencing heavy bleeding mid cycle, I'd talk to your GP. But I'm pretty sure spotting for a bit isn't anything to worry about too much.

Thanks lovely. I feel really ignorant but just not sure how heavy it has to be to constitute a period or spotting.
I would imagine that the bleeding means I'm not pregnant this month though? X

Ovulating bleeding is not uncommon so don't worry.

If this is ovulation spotting, it's a good sign for you obviously. Meaning that you are at least ovulating 😁
I'd just keep on dtd a lot for a few days now and then see what happens in about 2 weeks!
