Bleeding 4/5dpo but 9 days before AF?

I ovulated 5 days ago according to clearblue advanced digital test and this morning i started bleeding. Not pink or brown just red. Can i have my period 4/5 days after ovulation and 9 days early? It seems more than just implantation bleeding and i saw a few clots. Has this happened to anyone?

According to my FF chart I am also 5dpo today but I'm spotting slightly and have been for 2 days. Its brown not red though. Sorry I've no answers. I'm only on cd14 today toi

It's actually spotting because its not as heavy as a normal period. Its also light red (not pink) and very mild cramping. Boobs aren't very sore as they would be when i'm on my period. it's so confusing :(

I had this on 4dpo yesterday.

Some dark red/brown, on wiping only.
Too early for implantation (and more than I would imagine), but not resembling a period.
Nothing further since then.

Was not exacerbated by DTD or anything like that either. Puzzling...

very strange! it's good to know other people are also on the same boat! but i suppose its still early days, is it silly to still be hopeful?

ahh i'm so sorry to hear that! I still don't know how i'm feeling. I was spotting all day yesterday, constant bloated feeling and dull ache in the lower area. Today seems like the spotting has increased but still no where enough blood as a normal period. I've just picked up some pregnancy tests, I will probably test towards the end of the week. Unless the blood flow ends up increasing to a period flow in the next few days.

There's more blood flow but still lighter than a period but i'm going to take it as AF now :( i haven't done any tests but really bummed out to do one now.

@mila1998 mine is different to AF too. I've not tested but have taken it as AF. FF is now saying I ovulated 4 days ago according to BBT. its all just exhausting

@whyhaveidonethis it really is, i've broken down in the last 2 days from thinking i could be pregnant to nope not this month! it really is exhausting. Could you be having ovulation bleeding? i've ready some women have light spotting/bleeding during ovulation

No. I’m sure it is AF. Well 98% sure. Hoping it’s not but it’s far too heavy to be anything else I think. I suppose I will see on a few days. I’m 40 so I feel like I am running out of time. Going to see my GP tomorrow to ask for tests
