Hello,

I miscarried last month and had a d&c procedure 6 weeks on the Wednesday. I am desperate to fall pregnant again but I have no sign of AF, pregnancy tests have come back negative and I have no idea where my body is atm.

I started using OPK tests 2 weeks after bleeding stopped and got 10 days of “high fertility” but no peak so I gave up on them. Has anyone been in this situation? Any words of wisdom would be appreciated ❤️

I'm sorry about your MC. I was in same position last year and I think it took a couple of months for my cycle to return and even then it was a bit funny for a while.

Kdd1980 thanks for your reply. I guess I just need to be patient (which I’m rubbish at) I just feel so sad about it all and feel like everyone around me is falling pregnant with no trouble!

The month I fell pregnant (5months after mc) I used CB for the first time, had 10 days of high and got my peak on day 11! So ovulated very late in cycle and perhaps was every time and missing it. Just fyi! Good luck 😊

Eantonette · 02/12/2018 20:52

@Melamine Thanks for your reply! I also used CB. I read online that if you don’t get a peak after 4 days (I think) that you’re unlikely to ovulate! Good to know that I may have just missed it but I doubt i’ll be that lucky. Xx

@Eantonette sorry for your MC. I'm in a similar boat. MMC 11w treated and started the loss on the 6th of this month. I tried tracking with CB and normal OPKs but it was consistent high on the CB and multiple positive peaks with the OPKs. So I gave up. I've been tracking temp and that appears to show I've ovulated 3 days ago. the temp differences are quite clear so FX it's correct. I would normally ovulate on cd12-cd14 but this month it was cd24.

Have you taken a hpt to make sure you're HCG was back down after the MC? Do you track BBT?

Eantonette · 03/12/2018 08:52

Hi @GemmaJen

Sorry to hear you are also in a similar position! I was also 11w when I discovered my MMC that happened at 9w. It’s just devastating. My first two tests with CB came back with low fertility then on day 3 i got high fertility! After my 10 days of just constant flashing faces I did a hpt and it was negative so I didn’t know what was going on. No I don’t track BBT currently, do you use a standard thermometer or have gone and got something specific?

Hello @Eantonette

I saw you over on the ERPC thread just before your operation glad your recovery went well, such an uncertain time afterwards and my cycle is definitely messed up I think this months is going be 35 days and usually was always 29/30 max.

I also have been using CB since having my ERPC on 4th October, this month I had 8 days of highs then ran out sticks and round the cheap OPKs really hard to read.

I had my first AF on 9th November so 5 weeks and 1 day after ERPC and ovulated on 26th October that's when I got my peak CB face, currently on CD 24 and think I ovulated around 21 days this morning but that's just going off some bloody EWCM I had!

Fx for your BFP xx

GemmaJen · 03/12/2018 09:21

@Eantonette I got an ifertracker from boots.was feeling down and because of that justified spending a little bit on the tracker. you wear it on your skin and it calculates your BBT. No need to remember to temp in the morning before moving, which I would have struggled with. I'd recommend it, and tracking BBT in general, but you'd be best waiting for af now to track a full cycle. Have you been TTC this month? It's likely you were late ovulating maybe 2 weeks out or so? So af would be late too.

Eantonette · 03/12/2018 10:01

Hi @OctoberGirl91 how are finding things now? Glad to hear your af arrived so you know things are starting to settle. I’m just going to have to be patient with my body but it’s hard especially when falling pg was so easy for me first time :( keeping my fx for you also ❤️

@GemmaJen oh that’s interesting, I didn’t realise there was such a thing. I might look into it in the New Year! It’s probably more cost affective then CB if you are having to buy more sticks every month. Well we haven’t been careful this month but without knowing if/when I ovulated this month I’m not holding much hope! I tested last week just incase and it was negative. Fx for you BFP soon xx

Things have been really confusing I am on my first cycle since AF after ERPC and I'm on CD25 today and I've got a positive OPK which seems completely bizarre! As I always usually cycle today which means I'll probably ovulate tonight or tomorrow which means it's going be another long cycle again!

It's hard to stay positive when you think where you should be! Fx for you xx

Eantonette · 04/12/2018 16:12

It’s crazy isn’t it, you’d like to think that after what we’ve been through nature would be kind and at least give us regular cycles so we have a chance! It’s so frustrating and you’re right it’s cruel to imagine where we would be if we hadn’t lost our babies. Xx
