Pregnant after morning after pill?

So we dtd on cd10 and I had a positive opk that night. Then had a momentary freak out two days later and took the morning after pill (don’t ask 🤦🏼‍♀️), didn’t bleed or anything. Dtd again cd16 and had really sore boobs.
This week I’ve been exhausted and had sore boobs all week. Just did a OPK and it came up a strong positive straight away (cd25) - af due tomorrow.
Could I be pregnant or could the map have delayed ovulation for this long?
Also to say I had creamy cm come on 2 days ago, so much that I thought af had started.
I’m going to buy a preg test today but please give me your opinions because I can’t wait until I need a wee again to know 😂

I got pregnant on the morning after pill. Sex sat night, MAP on the Tuesday so about 38-43 hours later. Positive test about 2 weeks after that. I think conception had already happened by the time that the MAP was taken. I wasn't tracking ov so must have ovulated around the time of sex.

(Whoops, wrong timing! Not 38-43, I'm so tired that I can't even try to work it out from sat - tues haha)

Thanks for the reply @diamondofdoom did you take levonelle or Ella one? I took Ella one and now reading all sorts of worrying stuff about it 😳

If you ovulated cd 10,11 or anytime after you ovulate, chances of pregnancy are about the same as if you hadn't taken the map. It simply works by preventing ovulation.

Take a test - it's the only way to know.

Well it was a positive 🥰

How to feel about that? Hope your okay.

Moonchild23 · 03/12/2018 13:27

@lovewatchingrainfall I’m really happy 😊 we’ve been talking about trying for a while and taking the morning after pill was just a temporary blip of panic haha.

Glad to hear your happy. And good luck with the pregnancy.

Does the morning after pill effect pregnancy at all? I would speak to your GP asap just in case and let them know what happened. I am not sure how it works. But I would be nervous a bit about it having an effect on baby etc.

HJWT · 03/12/2018 14:31

Would the MAP not effect the baby? Congratulations 🥰

physicskate · 03/12/2018 14:56

The map has NO EFFECT once a pregnancy is established. Irresponsible to suggest otherwise...
