Hubby and I have started to try for a baby so used clear blue opk to time right. Monday and Tuesday blank circles, Wednesday static smiley! Dtd on Thursday morning (hubby works shifts so not always available) do you think I have a good chance? We haven’t dtd since due to work schedules.

I think you are supposed to dtd as soon as you see the smiley face. Do you have the Clue App? This is good to use alongside.

The problem is that once the egg is released it's only viable for a short time. So if you had sex the day before you got smiley face that could also give you a better chance.

But you never know - good luck.

Anyone else any thoughts?

It's picked up the lh surge so should ovulate within 24-48 hours after so although straight away would have been best, you might still have caught it.

Had you dtd in any of the days leading up to it? X

We dtd four days before smiley face but hubby didn’t “finish” in me 😳 so think we probably missed a good chance there. Hopefully we caught it in time the day after. Shift work is annoying for this stuff x
