Hand hold please?? Feeling like a failure.

We've been ttcing for over a year. I stopped the pill and have felt lucky to have been having regular periods (every 28/29 days).
This month I've tried to change my mindset to positive and think it will happen. We used conceive plus and DTD at the right times! I think I ovulated later than my regular CD15 and got a very positive opk on CD18. Af is late. It's CD31. No AF and I hadn't POAS because I didn't want to get my hopes up. This morning I thought, it won't do no harm! Bought a FRER. Haven't used FMU. Not even a squint. Now I'm petrified I'm not even going to have regular periods. And it's all come to a stop,

I am new to this but I thought no if you ovulated late maybe if you have conceived you have implanted late and so you need to test later if your period doesn't come. Also I do it myself but try to use FMU otherwise you are already putting yourself at a disadvantage. If you are pregnant tomorrow's HCG levels will be double those today so good luck and FX.

Thank you @Soexciting. I'm not sure really if I even have any symptoms! There was just nothing on the test at all. I'm never late but have been super stressed this week. Feels like my body is playing tricks on me!! I guess today is prob 12dpo. Would I still get a BFN if I was? Although like you say, wasn't FMU.

People get BFNs even when they are a week late. Unfortunately this whole pregnancy thing is not universal everyone's body works in different ways and it can take different times to test positive.
My period was late this month (Cycle 1) but because of my POAS addiction I had ruled myself out by 11dpo because I didn't have a line that stress probably made my period late!
I think if I were you I would do a internet cheapie every other morning with FMU until you get a BFP or your period.

If you ovulated late then your period will be late.

Your luteal phase (time between ovulation and period starting) will always be the same amount of days. If you usually ovulate on cd15 and get your period on cd29 then your LP is 14 days.

If this cycle you ovulated on cd 18 then your period will come on cd32. So you’re not late at all!

@Sshsecretenclosed couldn’t read and run. Sorry to hear you seem so down about it all. TTC really can be an awful time for some.

I just wanted to suggest Temping. You said your using OPK’s but Temping is a far more accurate way to find out about ovulation and keeping track of your cycles.
