Weird period

I am just wondering what this is all about really. I was spotting every morning a week before my period started. Every morning I wiped and a pink bit of blood was on the tissue. This only happened in the morning and lasted 7 days. Then the next morn my period came medium- heavy with clots (usually get clots) then stopped after 2 days (medium/ heavy to nothing). Is this normal?

It may be your normal. You'll find almost anything and everything are 'normal'.

Are you up to date with your smear tests?

If that’s not normal for you I’d visit your GP, unexpected and unusual bleeding is one of the flags that you’d need a check. Sure it’s just one of those unexplained things that our bodies do sometimes, but it’s best to be safe.

im not old enough for a smear im only 23. i usually spot once then come on for 3/4 days

When I was 23 (admittedly a while ago now!) I went to the GP because of unusual mid-cycle bleeding and was referred for an early smear. It was fine, but good to check I think.
