positive opk, negative 12 hours later

yesterday morning I got a positive opk test but it was negative 12 hours later, my question is have I missed my chance of conceiving this month. We DTD everyday during my fertile period except for yesterday (as my hubby was away working and didn’t get back till this morning) of course we DTD this morning, with me practically dragging him to the bedroom in case there is a slim chance we could of caught it in time.

Not sure of the answer as I'm in same boat myself. Yesterday morning the opk was almost positive and in the afternoon a bit darker but not fully so I expected today's to be really strong but it's now almost nothing.

I'm guessing I've either missed it or I believe your body can hear up to ovulated but not quite. And you may get another positive a bit later.

I'm gonna keep dtd anyway and also keep testing with opk incase I have another surge.

But if you have dye before the surge it's ment to be ideal so the sperm is waiting for the egg.

That’s just like what my tests were like. Previous months I’ve had positive tests for 2 days. Fingers crossed for us both just in case x

Opks can't tell you you've ovulated, just that you've had a surge of LH. Once you get a positive opk, chances are you will ovulate in the next 12-36 hours.

Best way to catch ovulation is to dtd every other day or every third day during your cycle.

Think we just going to just keep each other day for the next week (if the poor man can lol) as now my opk is stark negative so defo not had a peak yet. Last month my app suggested cd22 out of a 35 day cycle but I only got a positive on CD 25.
