Naproxen and conception

I was long term taking naproxen but have stopped now. I'm worried now about if it has affected my fertility. Has anyone else taking naproxen or similar and gone on to conceive easily?

Yep I took it for a long time. Was told I was fine to take it while ttc then I was told to stop taking it because it can make it hard to conceive. What do you take it for, if you don’t mind me asking?

Did you conceive easily after stopping taking it? It won't permanently reduce fertility even if you have ceased using it will it? I was given it alongside cocodamol and gabapentin for fibromyalgia. I've stopped all drugs now.

No, it took a long time but I have no way of knowing whether it was the naproxen or whether it would have taken us that long anyway. Can you speak to your specialist about it? How long have you been off it? As far as I understand, it doesn’t cause fertility problems and once it out of the system it’s fine. I had to come off all meds 3 months before starting ttc (apart from naproxen which a nurse told me I could take)

I've never experienced problems in the past conceiving (I have 4 children). I guess it's a waiting game. Thank you for sharing your experience
