LH surge/ OPK question

Hi everyone!

I’ve bought some ov test strips. Just wondering if the LH surge means you are actually now ovulating or if it means you’re going to ovulate very soon? Same goes with the clearblue advanced digital tests. When the smiley face appears does that mean you’re now ovulating or about to?

I believe a positive indicates ovulation in the next 12-36 hours (although the only way to be sure ovulation has happened is to track temperature)

LH surge usually happens 24 hours before ovulation.
I cant remember if it's static or flashing smiley for the clear blue, it will say in the instructions.

Flashing smileys indicate fertile days however the static one means it's picked up the lh surge. You should then ovulate approx 12-48 hours later I believe x
