I have taken 3 pregnancy tests, 2 negative and one positive. The positive was taken earlier in the day then the other two. Very confused! Every time I see another negative I don't know what to think .. false positive or false neg?

Hi OP, were they all the same brand? Was there colour in the positive test? This would make it unlikely to be an evap.

In general, a true false positive should be extremely unlikely, if not impossible, as it's not possible for the test to find HCG in your urine unless you're pregnant. False negatives are much more likely.

How many DPO are you?

As the day goes on your urine becomes
More
Diluted

Try with first morning urine

Lou0219 · 25/11/2018 00:17

I’ll repeat what the other user said you’ll find your hcg levels are higher in the morning. Try Another but first wee of the day

Good luck

This was the positive so it's ever so faint. Going to do another one this morning. 2 were some brand and one positive and one neg and another a different brand neg. I'm due to come one on 26th and I did the tests Friday so a little while before.

Go out get yourself a clear blue digital test to take first thing tomorrow morning. The first wee of the day is the strongest so is the best time to test. I couldn't cope with the squinty line eyes so went with digital tests in the end.

Mumstheword44 · 25/11/2018 08:44

I was recommended not to use digital clear blue as it's not as accurate as the rest before your period starts?

Blue dye tests are terrible for evap lines. Get a pink dye test, so a frer or similar.

blackcat86 · 25/11/2018 13:38

They do an early detection version that worked for me 4 days before my period was due but of course get the products that work for you.

Glitterandunicorns · 25/11/2018 16:01

I wouldn't recommend a digital until after you've missed your period. The best ones for early testing (IMO) are First Response Early Result. Use them with FMU and that should give you your answer. Best of luck, OP.

holly343434 · 25/11/2018 17:21

Is this a Tesco test? I had a positively exactly the same yesterday but neg on first response, if it's a Tesco test I think they are faulty :(

Mumstheword44 · 25/11/2018 17:41

No, not Tesco test. I went for appoint with the doctor and they have put it down to early miscarriage. Had some bloods done just incase, they said it's very common in first 4/6 weeks pregnancy
