False positive on FR 45 second test?

I'm still breastfeeding my 10-month-old baby so haven't had a period in a while, to make this more complicated.

DH and I decided to try for baby #2 over 8 weeks ago, but then swiftly changed our minds after a week of trying due to some family issues.

I did a pregnancy test 4 weeks later and it was negative, but started to feel a bit off so bought a batch of internet cheapies. Have been doing a couple of those a week but all bfn.

I've felt quite hormonal this week so bought a First Response 45 second result test. Peed on it, and nothing came up at all - not even a control line. But then, after maybe 10 minutes*, a positive pregnancy test line came up (it was pink, not a grey evap line). Then, after that, a pink line appeared in the control area. This line was thinner than I'd expect from a control line.

Realise this test is invalid, so will do another in the morning, but wondered what people thought? Also, thought it might be interesting for anyone else in this position ever to see what my outcome is.

I don't think I'm pregnant, for what it's worth.

*I've had three pregnancies and never had a BFP come up within the correct time window. And have never got a positive response on the first day of my missed period, even with FRER

I peed on another one a few hours after, but had drank loads of water so was very dilute wee, and it was bfn.

Took these out of the cases after the results came up to compare them. So they are doubley invalid.

I'm actually more worried that this means I have ovary cysts or something hormonal wrong…

Further tests were inconclusive… Very, very faint lines after 10mins, so probably evaps. Couldn't tell if they were pink or grey. Leaning towards evaps.

Internet cheapies appeared to have faint lines, that vanished.

Might go to doctor to ask for blood tests

It's weird the control line didn't come up on the first one. Looks like maybe not enough wee, did you dip it in a cup? It's a strong second line for a bfn.

Yep, was dipped in a cup. Subsequent tests have been bfns. Going to try and get a doctors appointment (as rare as hen teeth here) when I can to make sure there’s nothing wrong. Odd, right?
