Hi,
Can I join this thread please? I'm not on the trial but have just started to use the monitor so any hints or tips would be greatly appreciated. I'm on CD6 of my 1st cycle with CB so tested for the first time today.

Hi, having rerad through this thread, gillydaffodil mentioned 2 lines on the stick. Does it show 2 lines during high and peaks as so far I can only see one line on my stick. Tested days 6, 7 and 8 so far and they are all low still.

Hiya, I never did get a peak last month but bd'd everyday but still bfn Dh and I are not TTC this month, We're going away for the weekend at the beginning of next nmonth and i wouldnt have been due on till that week, my cycles are a bit eratic and i wouldn't have wanted to have gone away drank myself silly then got a bfp a few days later.. it'll be 3 days of non stop drinking so i think it's better to not even try this month. Still doing the trial though, Cd7 of cycle 3 now, Low this morning as expected.. i wonder if i'll get a peak this month ? I probably will as it's the first month for 16 months that i actually don't want to get pregnant ! thats just my luck !

I have made myself a Drs appointment for next week and am going to request the 3-5 day bloods and a sperm test for dh and also push for a referal to a fertility specialist so when we have recovered from our weekend away it's all syatems go again and i am going to try and lose some weight and eat better too.

How are you all getting along ?

It's very hard to stay all saintly and eat well, don't drink etc etc when you've been doing it for some long without a bfp that it feels like you've put your life on hold

I have cut down my drinking but don't want to give up.. i'll give up completly when i am pregnant but the last 16 months would have been really boring if i'd given up completly !

Have you tried agnus castus or anything like that ?

I had considered acupuncture, i've heard good things about it but i'll wait a while before going down that route i think.

I've not taken any suppliments, I might try Ac if i don't get anywhere with the Dr this time, he fobbed me off completly last time i went . a friend of mine tried it and got a bfp that month but tbh she'd only been trying for 8 weeks anyway so who knows if it made any difference, I read that it could give you headaches and horrible side effects but still i might try it, I am loath to take anything thats so untested if you know what i mean.

I dont think i ovulate, i've had one positive 21 day blood and 1 with a level of 2 which is obviously not right atall so i am kinda presuming that Clomid will be the next option.. well after the HSG etc.. The Dr told me that because i have 1 daughter that i am ' obviously fertile' .. obviously not !

Hi all,
Really pleased as I got a peak this morning on cd12. Quite surprised though as up until Friday was getting low and then had a high yesterday. Wasn't expecting a peak for a couple of days. Well DH will be happy later

Hi all, just a quick question. Is it right to have a peak 2 days running? I thought the window for ovulation was pretty small so was surprised to have another peak today.

JolieGirl · 10/09/2007 18:49

Yes - you get 2 peak days each cycle

I had mine this one (cycle 2) on CD 16 & 17...and guess what!!!? A lovely big fat juicy BFP for me just now on a clearblue digital (had used the ones in the trial box already!)

Totall thrilled but very apprehensive as well. I have a 14 month old DS but had 2 mc's one either side of him being born. Fingers crossed for another sticky one...wish me luck

Good luck to you all as well

libralady · 10/09/2007 18:57

Congratulations Joliesgirl that is great news. Let's hope you have a lot of babyglue to keep the bean.
Only cycle 2 on the CBDM. That's great. It gives me hope that soon I will too get a BFP.
If you don't mind me asking, how long had you been ttc?

JolieGirl · 10/09/2007 19:03

Thanks Libralady! We had not been trying long at all, only since June when I had my last mc.

Until this cycle I did not ovulate either acording to the monitor so it loks like I have got really really lucky to get pregnant again so fast.

Can't quite believe it, I keep staring at the word pregnant on the test. My DH is going to be home from work any minute - can't wait to tell him the news, although I suspect I might be making him head back out again to buy another test or two!!

How about you, how long have you been ttc for?

libralady · 10/09/2007 19:22

Can't believe you haven't told DH yet
I would have called mine straight away.

Mine story is a long one.........

Only decided to try for number 2 in July. This was after much deliberation on both our parts as my previous pregnancy was pretty horrendous and I swore I would never go through it again. DS was lying on my sciatic nerve and I spent the final 3 months of pregnancy on crutches. Although saying that I siled through the birth part in 5 hours with only gas and air!

Then the real problems started. Had a pretty bad back afterwards and in July 2006 was diagnosed with 2 prolaspsed discs. 2 epidurals later with still no improvement I was advised that surgery was really my only option. Had the surgery at the end of May this year and straight away I felt sooooo much better.

My DH has always wanted more children and when DS started to ask questions as to why his peers at playschool had 2 car seats in their cars and we explained his then requested a baby sister called Becky Tucker.

We discussed at length and after talking to my consultant ( who couldn't rule out the back problems in any future preganacies) he said go for it so we decided officially on 9th July this year.

Unfortunately had a set back in August as my back went into spasm so took a month off from trying but are now back to it with a vengeance.

I am concerned that they may be little time left for me. I am soon to be 38 and it took me 3 years before I conceived DS and before after having all the tests was told that I did not ovulate and the only route was to try clomid. Having picked up the precscription to start at next AF, I then discovered I was already pregnant. 8 months later I had my dear little boy. He is now 3.5 so if I was to fall this month he would be 4.2 when the next one was due which would be really nice as we could spend the summer together as a family before he starts School next September.

Sorry this has been such a long post........but I did warn you. LOL

gillydaffodil

No not taking clomid and apart from speaking to my spinal surgeon, haven't discussed ttc with any doctor. Like I said I am trying the CBDM and had peak readings on Sunday and Monday as DH and I did as much as we could with hope for a positive outcome by the end of the month
If not I'll keep using this for a few months and see what happens. I really don't want to go down the intervention route if at all possible.

hi ladies

I am new on mumsnet ,....so hello! I have a clearblue monitor and am TTC. Was wondering whether there is something wrong as I used the monitor last month for the first time and onlyl got lots and high days but never peaked!

We have TTC for 4 months. I have a son who is almost 3 years old and we got BFP within 3 months the first time!

I also had a very odd cycle last month....it was a 28 day cycle and I had a very light AF that lasted almost 12 days! Very unlike me! My norm is more like 33 days with a 7 day AF.

I am worried something is not quite right....

ColdPenguin · 13/09/2007 15:05

Hi

Just wondered if anybody knows whether this trial is still open or not? I've only just seen this thread but realise that it was started a few months ago.

Thanks.
