OPK as pregnancy test?

Can anyone help? 15dpo and I've not bought any pregnancy tests yet as I either use them way too early or AF shows up just after using the test. But I was anxious and ended up doing an opk as I have heard they can detect hcg in some form. Don't know what I was expecting but I got a very strong positive! I thought I might have flooded it so did another and it was exactly the same- I even put this one in the clearblue reader and it came up peak! I haven't got pregnancy tests coming tomorrow so can't know anything for sure, but could I be pregnant? We have been trying for 18 months and nothing, so my stomach is flipping at the idea this could actually mean something! I've had mild AF cramps all day so still could show, or could be a good sign... I really don't know?

Pregnant or very late OV?

You could be pregnant or you could be having an LH surge right before you get your period, which is also very common . This is why OPKs are not useful as pregnancy tests - you will either have to wait it out or do a proper pregnancy test.

Ah I wasn't aware you could that was a thing @ZackPizzazz, thank you, I won't get my hopes up too much though! I'm getting tests in my shopping delivery tomorrow night so will have to be patient! Could be late ov @ThisIsGospel if my first ov test was wrong or I had the surge but didn't actually ovulate- unfortunately wasn't temping so can't say for sure if I ovulated when the tests suggested. :)
