New to bbt charting, ttc for over 3 years now, 3rd cycle using OvuSense and first month using ff app, I have no idea how to read the charts and what I’m looking for, periods have been a little all over lately but usually around 32 days, if anyone could help decipher my charts that would be great 🙌🏽😊

It doesn’t look like you hve ovulated yet.

Are you using opks?

Foamybanana93 · 21/11/2018 20:00

Yes using opks I did some last night just to see what was happened and got blazing positive but temps still very low

Those top two (the pink ‘handles’) look positive to me.

You ‘should’ ovulate around 24-36 hours after a positive opk. If your temp rises over the next 3/4/5 days and stays higher then that would indicate you’ve actually ovulated, and FF will put crosshairs on your chart to show your cover line (average temp) and which day you ovulated, then it will change to days past ovulation rather than cycle day.

I’ll try and find one of my old ones so you can see what I mean

@foamybananas if you got a positive OPK last night I’d assume you may have ovulated today or tomorrow. So would expect a rise tomorrow or the day after x

This was my chart last month if it helps x

The first chart was an ovulatory month, the vertical line indicates the day of ovulation and the horizontal is temp average.

The second chart was when I got my bfp.

What you’re looking for is the temps to stay high after ovulation. This is caused by the extra progesterone that the corpus luteum produces to help a fertilised egg successfully implant and hatch.
