Brown spotting after period

Sorry if this has been asked before, I could only find references to before your period.

I had my first proper period after coming off the pill, which lasted 3ish days. A couple of days later (today) I have light brown spotting when I wipe and lower back pain. Is it possible I could be pregnant even though I had my period? Also, when would be the best time to POAS? I presume today would be far too early?

Thanks.

Ok so I just took a test and there's a very clear "indent" / evap line (is this a thing?)

I'm so confused. Any advice would be appreciated.

Can you post a pic? Is the indent line got a bit of colour or grey? And what test did you use

Thank you for replying! My camera on my phone will not focus properly that close up unfortunately

I don't think there was any colour to it, it was literally just like an obvious "indent" where the positive line would normally be. Maybe just a faulty test? It was an internet stick one (pink cap on end) and the other 4 I used (weeks ago) didn't have this.

Ahh well the pink dye ones are usually more reliable. But did you miss any of the pill pack? If not its unlikely you are pregnant but it's still a possibility. It's probably just you're cycle and hormones getting back to normal after coming off the pill if this was your first cycle. If it was implantation it usually occurs before your af is due. After a period it's more than likely just some dry blood making its way out. Try using an app that tracks your af but don't rely on it for ovulation. Best bet is to take your basal body temp and see what's happening or opks. I'd your actively ttc. Hope that's helped a little. If your still in doubt take a test in a few days or better a week away from now.

I spot every month after my period for about 4 days and never had a bfp. Not sure how helpful that is
