Hi I’m new here so this is my first time asking a question 😬
I’m 25, my partner and I have been together almost 8 years now and would like to start a family. I recently came off the pill 2 month ago. My period started the 5th November and lasted the usual 5 days. Since then I’ve been taking ovulation strip tests everyday since the last day of my period up to the day I ‘thought’ I would ovulate. Nothing. These are the last strips I’ve done since the day I should ovulate up until today. Does anyone know if maybe ovualation is due soon? I’m worried I’ve been on the pill for so long that it may have messed up my cycle. Before the pill I had normal periods and on the pill they were hardly happening (once every 2 month)
The stress is getting to me as I’m desperate to become pregnant . Any help would be very thankful! ❤️❤️

Since this is my first thread I'm unable to post pics 😒 but the strips have a slight second line (very very faint) each day I take one. Could it mean ovulation is near? Here's to hoping!

Even if it hasn't missed up your cycle (which it likely has) you're prob on day 9-10 now. Even ppl with absolutely perfect (normal) cycles won't ovulate til day 14 and you're in v early days

Hi there Kitkatsky and thank you for your reply!

I always think the worst and since I’ve been pregnant before my first though was I had POS... I know I always think the worst.
So since the 10th (when I finished my period) you think I could still be due ovulation? I’m feeling a little more hopeful also I guess I’m quite impatient. 😂

Cycles can take awhile to settle into your 'normal' cycle - up to a year after coming off the pill. Many women will become more regular before then.

Relax.

Go with the flow for a couple months until your cycle settles. I know that desperation to become pregnant, but it honestly won't help you get pregnant faster and does your mental health no favours. Think of it as a happy surprise if it happens before your cycles settle.

Thanks physicskate 🙂 I know there's no rush it's just things in life haven't been going to best, my mums really Ill and I'd love to bring her her first grandchild but I don't want to go into that too much.
I'll relax more and enjoy all the 'dance with no pants' while I can! 😂 doesn't help you see babies left right and centre on social media 🙄

I suppose I can still continue to use my strips as I only got the cheap ones from pounds shops so it's not too heavy on my pocket xx
