Are Sainsbury’s pregnancy tests reliable? Has anybody had a false negative? I am 4 days late did a blue clear early test that was negative 4 days prior to missed period, 4 days late and still negative but these Sainsbury’s test don’t look great!

I only ever use digital ones. But I often see posts on here where people say the Sainsbury's ones give false positives. So for that reason
I wouldn't use/trust them.

I’ve heard it’s the blue dye then use in the tests that’s the problem! Blue dye tests are much more likely to give false positives due to evap lines. I also try and stay clear of blue dye now x

Iv heard it's best to avoid Sainsbury's test, Morrison's always been great for me, if not then first response is best

TimeToRevolutionize · 19/11/2018 14:59

I've had positive on Sainsbury's Test when I was pregnant.

Michelle0507 · 19/11/2018 16:14

I used 2 Sainsbury's ones and looked negative I did do them in the evening but I was pregnant.

Mammy7 · 19/11/2018 16:56

@mammy7 clear blue digital. Don't really like having to pay so much.
With my first pregnancy (all ended in MC) I got positives on the Sainsbury's ones. I always used Tescos & poundlands.

Mammy7 · 19/11/2018 18:22

@michelle0507 snap I got positives a few years ago on Sainsbury’s digital which ended in mc and stupidly picked up there cheape ones today the one with the cross on if positive. It’s the unknown and surely if I was 4 days late there must be enough hgc levels for any test to pick up

@mammy7 I've always done mine the day my period is due never more than a day after. It's the only time I have done them in the evening and a week before I was due on. I was doing it as I wanted to take some medication you shouldn't when pregnant so was very annoyed a week later.
