Fibroids

I've been diagnosed with fibroids.

I got of very easily at 44 but lost the baby at 14 weeks.

Since then nothing. Now I've found out I've got fibroids. I'm now 46 and despite this really have always felt I had another baby in me...

Does anyone have experience and can tell me what the treatment is? I get funny looks when I say I'm still ttc...

Should say despite this I have regular 30 day cycles and am very fit /healthy.

Fibroids generally disappear with menopause. The other treatment is surgery. A HUGE word of caution though: the surgery to remove them damages and weakens the uterine wall and hugely increased that chance of uterine rupture. They tend to only suggest the surgery if your fibroids protrude into the uterine cavity (approx 5% of fibroids do this) because those are the only fibroids thought to cause fertility issues. Large fibroids causing symptoms are sometimes excused as well, but not for fertility reasons.

I am sorry for your loss.

Egg quality is more likely to be your issue...I'm very sorry to say.

Hi thanks for the reply , I'm sure you're right about egg quality and I'm being totally realistic in my chances at my age . I've just about accepted it's not happening.
