Possible pregnancy

Hello - just after some advice here.

Without going into too much detail, I had sex on Monday night (first day on my period but I was just spotting). I have luckily never suffered with period pains but since having sex I am in constant pain. I have googled this and it saids it's fairly normal.

I am still on quite heavy but should hopefully be coming to an end soon. For some reason, I just have an inclining I could be pregnant (obviously I could be wrong).

I'm going to buy a pregnancy test tomorrow, my question is how soon after a period finishing can you take a test?

Don't panic. It's hugely unlikely that you're pregnant. As a rule, it's safe to have sex unprotected while on your period - and really, quite often throughout your cycle. There's a small window in which you can get pregnant and that is usually mid cycle. So, I'd save the money on the test.

Thanks for your reply. Trying not to panic, I think I just want to take one just for my own peace of mind but really curious as to how long I would need to wait after my period finishes?

Two weeks or more after unprotected sex.

I'd be inclined to save my money too. It's far too early for any 'pregnancy symptoms' a week after unprotected sex.
