Im confusing myself trying to work out when i conceived due to taking northisterone (period delay pill) and was wondering if anyone could shed any light!
I was due a period on mon 8th October, but started taking northisterone 3 days before to delay it for a week. After I stopped taking it, my period came on 18th october (4 days after).
Assuming delaying my period also changes the day i ovulate etc, my next period was due this week (12th november). I have 25 day cycles and, they are usually like clockwork (sometimes comes on day 26/27).
However, my period didnt turn up ....assumed the northisterone had messed up my cycle, but took a pregnancy test this morning just in case, and it was positive! Plus another one this afternoon which was also positive!
So really, im trying to work out when I conceived. Was it the week i delayed my period for (8th october), or was it approx two weeks ago? (Around 1st/2nd nov). If I did conceive the week of 8th oct, would i still have had that period immediately after, or would i always have had it, as it was essentially 'on its way' before I delayed it?
To be honest, i think its unlikely I conceived week of 8th october, otherwise it wouldve been day 28/29 of my cycle, and mine are always around 25 days!
More likely it wouldve happened two weeks ago (I remember DTD on halloween so i guess this would make the most sense as i was likely ovulating).
Obviously it doesnt really matter when I conceived, and Im going to make a doctors appointment next week so they should be able to give me a better idea, but i was just wondering when it could have happened so i can try to work out how far along i am! Especially as my head will be full of this all weekend!
