Hey girls! Got my static smiley today after thinking I’d ovulated super early. DTD last 2 night but have been bickering all day so who knows if we’ll do it tonight 🙈

cupcakesandglitter · 18/11/2018 22:08

@SullyWifey I'm with you 😂😂 we've been here eight months now and his tools only got moved from our BEDROOM!!! last week 😂😂😂 Cba

CD22 and still no positive OPK :( it's gonna be another long cycle I think 😩

@Crossfitgirl male logic is the worst! I hope he is grovelling soon!
Same as @FivexFive the first few sessions have got a bit over oily, especially with DH in control of the oil 🙄. It always leads to great sex and DH will never say no to a massage (unlike sex!) I don't know why I didn't think of it as a tool to get him to Dtd before!

@MrsMcNtobe that's great you got your static smiley! It's so tough when you're grumpy with DH but you know you have to Dtd isn't it! I just try and push the reasons I am annoyed at him out of my head for a while, easier said than done though!

GemmaJen · 18/11/2018 22:34

@PurrMaid we're in a similar situation, just over the med management. So started ttc again, just want to be pregnant! Fx for you. Hope we get BFP soon and they work out.

Started dtd, probably too early but practice makes perfect right? Hoping for a BFN tomorrow meaning everything is back to normal and I might actually have a chance of ovulating this month. Fx

GemmaJen · 18/11/2018 22:43

@Crossfitgirl Tools! What is it with men and leaving them everywhere?! My DH used to trash the garage everytime he worked on the car or put up a bookshelf, we got shelving fitted to help, and lots of promises were made, but it was still a pig sty. Now we've got a larger garage and more space, so now he's collecting more tools to fill all the floor space! Makes me mad! And when you need something like a screwdriver or spanners can't find a thing. I despair! Angry Luckily he's in the good books right now or I'd remind him he promised to clear the garage last week... Obviously that didn't happen Hmm

GemmaJen · 19/11/2018 08:13

Not the start to the week I wanted, pesky positive line was still there on the test. Definitely lighter than last week, but no need for squinting. I don't suppose anyone knows, I'm getting conflicting reports, can you ovulate when there's HCG left in your system from MC? I'm monitoring BBT for the first time this month, pretty steady so far. Not doing OPKs as I've heard the HCG can give you false positives. On a normal month I'd expect to O at some point this week (sat 17th through 24th)( if 1st day MC was cd1). I guess there's no hard and fast rule. But just want the best chances of TTC.

DayDreamer1707 · 19/11/2018 09:16

Good Morning Ladies!!

Does anyone have pictures of their positive results using One Step?
I am currently getting a faint line but its not right away? I know it's not positive as it's way to early but just want to see what I am looking out for.

@GemmaJan I was in the same position as you just last week and got my BFN and then AF , it's and odd relief that things are normal and you do feel like you have some sort of control again over whats happening. I have done loads of research and saw that you can still ovulate even when you haven't got AF and you still have HCG in your system but unfortunately everyone is different. I used the MC as cycle day one and got AF roughly 30 days after, slightly longer than normal x

Crossfitgirl · 19/11/2018 09:46

@gemmajen so sorry about your MC, I don't know about ovulation when HCG is still in your system but a few people on here had longer / different cycles for a while afterwards. I guess continue to temp and go from your symptoms. Did the doctors give you any advice at all?

Also, I'm so glad to hear the tools thing is not just me! I honestly thought it was just my DH that hoards tools!! Whyyyy do they need so many? And of course they are all too valuable to go in the shed/ car as they might get stolen... no they have to be in our living room!! Lol

Crossfitgirl · 19/11/2018 09:50

@DayDreamer1707 havent done any OPKs for a while but here was my last positive. I used to get a very faint line a few days before, which would gradually get stronger until the positive, then disappear almost straight after! Hope that helps. Xx

Happy Monday ladies! Sounds like lots of good weekends all round. We had a nice chilled one with family. Just worked out if I ovulate when I think I will, we'll be away with friends. Who has some quiet sex tips?! Grin

@Crossfitgirl congratulations on the new house! You know what they say, new house new baby Grin sorry to hear your DH is being a pain in the arse now. Moving can be a stressful time.

@mrsof20118 congrats - amazing news!

@PurrMaid welcome! And sorry to hear about your MMC, that must have been awful. Here's hoping your cycle gets back to normal right away.

@FivexFive gorgeous kitty!

@RobynC19 the last one looks positive to me - but I'm a OPK noob!

@SullyWifey sorry to hear you're feeling under the weather - hope the hot bath and TV helped!

@cupcakesandglitter how long are your cycles typically? Mine are 34 - 36 and I started testing from day 8 lol. On day 10 now (I think?!) and it's going painfully slowly.

Rachael321 · 19/11/2018 10:21

Congrats @mrsof20118 !!!

@crossfitgirl great that the move went well and you managed to christen the house!! Not great about the tool situation! We don't really have that issue... ours is more he tidies up by squeezing everything in a cupboard, complaining he can't find anything, and complains about the mess of the cupboard and pulls it all back out again!! And last week it was my fault that he was running late cause he couldn't find a work t-shirt... that I "hid" by hanging it up in the wardrobe!!
Hope you get the tools moved!

I'm currently in no man's land! AF was due on Friday, still no sign of it and still BFN!!

DayDreamer1707 · 19/11/2018 10:32

@Crossfitgirl, so it can disappear, that's good to know because I have only done 2 but left them and gone back 10 minutes later and there has been a faint line. I will make sure I keep an eye on it the whole 10 mins.

@RobynC19 that looks like a positive to me but I'm not overly sure. What times have you been testing?

cupcakesandglitter · 19/11/2018 10:51

Morning ladies ❤️ I booked myself a much needed day off and have just woke up, I feel fantastic 😂

@DayDreamer1707 I've attached my positive below - BUT I got this the day before AF arrived, I've never had one this dark for ov.. I'll see if I can find what my ov positive looks like!

@purplefig my cycles are now anywhere for 23-39 days 😂 they were really regular around 30 days right up until we started TTC, so I've got to the doctor to see what's going on.. I did get a positive OPK on CD9 though once! It does drag, I'm CD23 now and still haven't had my positives, literally pissing money away on OPKs x also, face in the pillow seems to work for me 😂 but there's certain positions DH knows not to do otherwise it's all over, I can't keep quiet 😂

MrsAW2018 · 19/11/2018 10:53

@Rachael321 I'm in the same situation! Due on on Friday and still nothing with BFN... so frustrating, isn't it?😩

cupcakesandglitter · 19/11/2018 10:59

Okay @DayDreamer1707 I hope this helps (it's just confused the shit out of me 😂)

So pic 1 is what I had on 6th Nov - actually looks very very close to a positive, not sure why I didn't realise it then!

Pic 2 - the top one is one I took on Saturday, the bottom one was Friday I believe but pretty much all OPKs I've done over the last two weeks have looked like the bottom one. Only issue I have is that I ordered OPKs and they're faulty(ish) they aren't as pigmented at all as the last pack I had so it's harder to read these. Amazon are taking the piss in replacing them so these will just have to do x

Catching up on yesterdays posts, it's been busy!

Glad your move went well @crossfitgirl and well done on christening the house already Grin

So glad to be having a long weekend, don't want to go back to work tomorrow haha.

Fertility Friend still hasn't confirmed an Ovulation date for me. My temperature this morning back up to 36.9s which is what I was expecting.

DayDreamer1707 · 19/11/2018 11:15

@cupcakesandglitter thanks for this! The 2 I have done look like yours from the 6th Nov but I am only on CD6 so I can't be ovulating yet unless its coming close? But these lines do appear around 10 mins after I do the tests? Not sure what other symptoms to look out for either as I have never really looked for ovulation symptoms before 😕 . Hope you are feeling nice and refreshed after your lie in x

PurrMaid · 19/11/2018 11:16

Morning ladies! Thank you for all the welcomes 😄
@GemmaJen So sorry to hear you are going through the same. It’s been the worst time of my life. My bleeding has very nearly stopped, will try my best to wait till the weekend to test for a BFN. Want to do one today but know I’ll feel disheartened when it’s positive as it’s still only been a week since med management. Got all my fingers crossed for you!!
We haven’t done the deed since I fell pregnant at beginning of September 🙈 I didn’t want to disturb the baby haha! So silly to think like that, especially after how things sadly turned out, but I’m so excited to baby dance again 😆😆

cupcakesandglitter · 19/11/2018 11:20

@DayDreamer1707 if they look like that I'd say you're super super close as someone said earlier - DTD as much as you can just in case you might miss the surge with OPKs. They're also super weird with results, some of mine disappear after a few minutes but the one before AF actually looked blank until DH walked past it around 20 mins later! I think that was so strong though because it must've been a huge surge just before AF I think.. I'd keep doing the OPKs anyway just in case. How long are your cycles normally? Sorry if I've missed it x

DayDreamer1707 · 19/11/2018 11:26

@cupcakesandglitter I have only ever really done the test 1st thing in the morning around 8/9 this weekend so I am going to do one on my lunch break at dinner.

It's hard to say, this is my first proper cycle since my MMC so going from my MC I had a cycle of 30days but before the MC it would be between around 24-27 days so i'm really not sure? I did get a BFN after the MMC so I know that there is no Hcg left over, fresh new start and cycle this month.

We DTD twice this weekend just because, maybe I shall see what the result is at lunch x

GemmaJen · 19/11/2018 11:32

@Crossfitgirl no advice from the drs other than TTC when you're ready. They didn't even mention testing to see if a hpt went down to neg. I'm a little bit of a control freak so want to know when our chances are best. I know I might not even ovulate this month. But if I do, I'm not wasting it! Grin

@PurrMaid I tested last Monday 1 week after MC and then today, it was a stonking BFP last week and today it's less clear but no denying it's there, I'm guessing that I will get a neg 3 weeks from the MC. It seems strange to be excited to see a completely neg test! The uncertainty is excruciating, I like to be in control! Have you been called back for a u/s to see that everythings clear?

GemmaJen · 19/11/2018 11:36

I may regret asking this as I've bought it and I'm using it already, so no going back, but has anyone used an ifertracker? I got one and have been using it for the last week. I wanted to track BBT but know that there was no way I was going to get consistent temps - I'm up and down to the bathroom or getting a drink in the early morning when I also have the memory of a goldfish! So far it seems to be tracking nicely. Pretty steady temp, I guess I won't know if it works until I get some temp change patterns. But interested to know how you all track BBT?

FlapJackered · 19/11/2018 11:38

Morning all!
I hope everyone had a good weekend?
I have just been procrastinating at work and found this thread about using Soy Isoflavones - has anyone tried them? I may give them a go next cycle as the stats are pretty impressive!
community.babycentre.co.uk/post/a12154345/bfps_with_soy_isoflavones

PurrMaid · 19/11/2018 11:54

@GemmaJen Great to hear that the test is fainter than last week, it’s definitely strange for hoping for negs! I was so obsessed with POAS when I found out and watching the lines getting stronger each day, and now it’s the oppostite 😔 But being positive and thinking that it’s beginning of a fresh start once we get that BFN.
They told me I wouldn’t have another ultrasound unless I still had a BFP after three weeks. I would have preferred an ultrasound tbh. Have you had one since the management?
