Wow congratulations @cookiewaffle and @sunshine1987!
Anything different you did this month?
Spreading positive thoughts for sticky beans and @sunshine1987 get yourself a FRER and some decent tests for tomorrow!!

Sorry for AF @eltzbee it sucks so much more when she catches you off guard.

@AngeloMysterioso i think being crazy emotional could be a symptom! I have been very tearful today too I nearly cried in a shop earlier with DH! Although that could just be me being crazy in general. This is what ttc does to us!

@essjayycee I have PCOS. I had a scan a few years ago revealing enlarged ovaries in line with PCOS, and I had a cyst removed from my fallopian tube when I was 15 before I even started on any contraception.
I know what it feels like to feel worried about it. I have regular periods, and dont get any PCOS symptoms, yet I have been told by my doctor at the time that it could be more difficult to concieve but basically to cross that bridge when it comes to it.

Well now I've come to the bridge. PCOS for many women doesnt affect fertility at all. For some it does. From the information I've been given, yes PCOS can cause it to be more difficult, however in my own doctors words, it is more a matter of WHEN you will concieve, rather than IF. PCOS is very treatable and even if there is an issue, there is treatment for all aspects of PCOS.

I hope that helps?
I have tried to stay positive and up to now, i have been TTC assuming everything is fine. We all know it can take over a year to concieve even in totally healthy people!

I've had blood tests which have been abnormal so have been referred to a fertility clinic, however my doctor was confident I may concieve before even needing any intervention, as she said many people she refers to the clinic do just that whilst waiting!

Try not to worry too much. Has your DH been tested for his sperm?

Crossfitgirl · 24/11/2018 21:37

@AngeloMysterioso when did you last test?
If it goes over a week, maybe see your GP?
See if they will do a blood test?

KatBeCool · 24/11/2018 21:47

@sunshine1987 do a frer for a nice line! Congratulations 🎊!

@CookieWaffle congratulations to you too! Lots of good news today.

I need to get on this bfp bus.

AngeloMysterioso · 24/11/2018 21:55

@Crossfitgirl last tested yesterday. Have had 6 BFNs in as many days Sad

sunshine1987 · 24/11/2018 22:22

@crossfitgirl I hate to say it but we chilled out this month and decided not to “try”. We had spent the past months doing SMEP/conceive plus/legs in the air etc and decided to enjoy our honeymoon and not worry about it all or do any of that this month. Plus with being told they didn’t think I was ovulating weirdly took the pressure off. I honestly didn’t think we would be in with a chance but I guess there’s a lot to be said for chilling out, which I hate to say! I still don’t think it can be right so hope I’m not tempting fate x

SophiePie · 24/11/2018 22:30

Congratulations! @sunshine1987 and @CookieWaffle

SophiePie · 24/11/2018 22:32

@AngeloMysterioso What kind of test are you using?

AngeloMysterioso · 24/11/2018 22:37

@SophiePie I did a CB early detection, FRER, Tesco own brand and Boots own brand.

Tbh I don't think I'm pregnant. When I got pregnant before I got a BFN when I was 2 or 3 days late, but then when I was about a week late I noticed my boobs were hurting which was what made me test again, and then I got really strong BFPs. Don't have anything like that going on atm.

cupcakesandglitter · 24/11/2018 22:40

@AngeloMysterioso do you know when you ovulated? X

OP posts:
AngeloMysterioso · 24/11/2018 22:45

@cupcakesandglitter nope! I had a random quite heavy bleed a day or two after my last period ended so it could just be that my cycle is messed up, although this would be the first time it's ever happened. I did get a load of OPKs from amazon but haven't really got to grips with using them or all the charting stuff.

cupcakesandglitter · 24/11/2018 22:55

@AngeloMysterioso I'd maybe start using OPKs - I had regular periods, and the month we started trying they messed up (this happened to me last year too, weird) but now for me I have one short month (around 23 days) and one long month (anything from 38+). I know irregular periods are a sign of PCOS, and I'm not sure why the day I ovulate changes so much but this month I know I'm going to have a long cycle because I ovulated/am ovulating now on CD27... maybe if you're testing with OPKs youll be able to figure out when AF should be? X

CookieWaffle · 24/11/2018 22:56

I didn't get a positive OPK this month but I think I O'd on day 15 and FF is out a bit. We timed BD as usual. I did use preseed the first 2 times, 3rd one I went by EWCM. No idea which worked. Definitely feels different to my CPs, nausea for 5 days got me thinking and the cramps are annoying. Plus I usually have spotting about now and have had none. I was totally expecting a single line and this was just ibs. Chart and frer attached.

@CookieWaffle and @sunshine1987 congratulations! Grin

GemmaJen · 25/11/2018 06:03

Feeling frustrated, had ewcm yesterday after my cheapie opk came in neg, clearly different to the positive on Friday. But still no temp rise, can't seem to find anyone with a similar chart, so completely baffled by what's going on. Any ideas?

TTC FIRST BABY - THREAD NO.8
CookieWaffle · 25/11/2018 06:14

Thanks @GemmaJen :) I've had a couple months where my temp took a few days to rise, that's why I think I ovulated on 15th but FF guessed differently. Maybe it'll rise tomorrow.

TTC FIRST BABY - THREAD NO.8
KatBeCool · 25/11/2018 06:34

@GemmaJen I'd wait a couple more days, until at least Monday or Tuesday. If you ovulated Friday, it might take until then to see the temp rise. The rise is rarely dramatic.

GemmaJen · 25/11/2018 06:45

I hope so @CookieWaffle, every morning I'm hoping for it and it's disappointing when it's still low... Feel like I'm broken. Congrats on your BFP, awesome news, and uplifting to hear BFP success .

@KatBeCool I thought the rise was an immediate change, rather than gradual one? Have I got the wrong end of the stick? New to all of this so I've no idea.

sunshine1987 · 25/11/2018 06:47

Safe to say I am bawling 😭

CookieWaffle · 25/11/2018 06:50

Thanks @GemmaJen I'm still remaining cautious as it's still early but internally excited!

I felt like you in that Sept month I posted. I honestly stated googling anovulatory cycles as I was getting panicked but seems it was just a bit slow to rise. Apparently it can happen.

CookieWaffle · 25/11/2018 06:50

Yay @sunshine1987!! xxx

KatBeCool · 25/11/2018 06:53

@GemmaJen it can be immediate but it's not a huge rise right away, most of the time it's gradual. I wouldn't worry yet.

mrsof20118 · 25/11/2018 07:07

Congrats @sunshine1987 @CookieWaffle

GemmaJen · 25/11/2018 07:17

@sunshine1987 does it feel real now it's in words? So pleased for you Flowers

sunshine1987 · 25/11/2018 07:33

@gemmajen yeah it does though I’m trying really hard not to get excited as I know it’s early. But the what if’s are exciting too.

Sometimes it takes 48 hours from the end of the surge for me to ovulate so wonder if that’s what your body is doing? x

sunshine1987 · 25/11/2018 07:34

@cookiewaffle we must only be days apart, fingers and toes and everything I possibly can cross, crossed for us both xx
