Hi all - apologies if I've missed anyone out on here, I'm half asleep 😂

@Crossfitgirl I knew I might have scarring from peritonitis (as a child) on the right. The left was a surprise. It was the left he cleared (apparently just old endometrium).

No sedation, but worst part was the speculum. Apparently I'm super likely to conceive this month!

So plan is: baby 1 no further intervention. Baby 2, try and clear right side surgically. Any further babies, hopefully easy, but ivf if not!

Crossfitgirl · 23/11/2018 18:58

Ooh well good luck for your super likely cycle! How nice would it be to be pregnant in time for Christmas!

Fingers crossed it all works out and you don't end up needing IVF :-)

Xxx

Crossfitgirl · 23/11/2018 18:58

@validuser forgot to tag you lol

ValidUser · 23/11/2018 19:02

Thanks @Crossfitgirl - it was a weird week. Not surprised by results, but a little overwhelmed? Will happily do ivf if needs be. Apparently the good tube will probably occlude if I'm not pregnant in the coming months.

Even though my ovarian reserve isn't stellar, it's ok and I am ovulating.

I've said this before, but I always suspected I might have some difficulty conceiving. At least I've prepared!

PaintingOwls · 23/11/2018 19:24

Quick question - if you use OPKs and the fertility friend app, do you note a faint line as a - or a +?

ValidUser · 23/11/2018 19:28

@PaintingOwls I don't use that app, but a faint line is a negative. The line needs to be strong to be positive.

I use Ovia and Flo and have a faint line all the time. Weaker is negative (unless it's an actual pregnancy test). ❤️

Delilah7 · 23/11/2018 19:43

@Crossfitgirl I did and I don't even like that term myself but hey it worked!! Just listen to your body x x

stormtrooperjulian · 23/11/2018 20:05

@ValidUser it’s always good to be prepared, and to have a plan!
We’ll get the blood tests etc on the nhs at 9 months and if that suggests a problem then we’ll go with private fertility treatment, I don’t want to waste time on waiting list.

BabySquid · 23/11/2018 20:29

@Crossfitgirl hey glad you're back, I was looking on rightmove today, just randomly and looking at houses bigger than ours that we could fill with babies!!! But pointless coz we're planning a bigger move, to Oz within 5 years.
I'm currently in the TWW and planning on testing tomorrow even tho I'm not due till Tuesday... I had a dream about it last night, and I have this completely overwhelming urge to poas!! Which I NEVER get pre AF so I'll keep you updated in the morning and hopefully it's good news.

purplefig · 23/11/2018 20:58

@MrsAW2018 don't apologise - mental health issues are no joke. Is it worth speaking to your dr about it? Did anything specific help in the past?

@Crossfitgirl tbf you've had your hands full with the house move too!! So glad you're feeling less stressed out this cycle too, that's fab. So funny about your DH going with mumsnet on the dryer front 😂

@ValidUser is there any reason why you'd need to get the right side cleared for TTC2? Could you not go from left again? Or am I being incredibly dim?!

@BabySquid that's exciting - keep us posted!! I love procrastinating on rightmove too!!

Happy weekend all!

ValidUser · 23/11/2018 21:00

@purplefig apparently the left will likely occlude again soon! If not, baby #2 will be easy. If not, more action required!

purplefig · 23/11/2018 21:13

@ValidUser oh I see! Fingers crossed cycle 1 = bfp!

EltzBee · 23/11/2018 21:34

@sunshine1987 oh gosh it was 'fat finger syndrome' causing that weird 3dpo drop, I'd typed the wrong number 😂 updated graph AGAIN now lol.

@purplefig I find fertility friend the best for features and ease of use (it ain't the prettiest though) and the charting features are good.

@AngeloMysterioso really hope you get an answer soon, our bodies are so mean with playing games on us and making us wait just to find out. Limbo state!

@MrsAW2018 not silly at all, and completely get where you are coming from. It is a lonely place to be trying to conceive, all consuming and very easy to get dragged down emotionally by it. Gosh, today I've been ranting and raving and in near tears because of a temperature dip! I'm on Sertraline still and asked my GP before ttc, he said it was better to stay on the antidepressants as they are a lower risk than a mum to be who is depressed or anxious. Look after yourself and have that chat if needed. Depression is a hard beast to escape. Sending best wishes and always happy to chatter.

@Crossfitgirl aww bless you, hope you're settled in to your new home now. After much confusion with my cycle, I'm on CD 25 and 9DPO with a pesky dip today. My app thinks I'm due AF on Wednesday next week.

That's funny about DHs research sites for tumble dryers. Bless him!

@PaintingOwls faint line is a negative with OPKs. Only a line that is nearly as strong or as strong or stronger than the control line is a positive. You start to get used to what a positive is after you've seen your own if that makes sense 😹

Right, graph attached this time without me being daft and putting numbers the wrong way around 🙄😳🤭🤫

TTC FIRST BABY - THREAD NO.8
sunshine1987 · 23/11/2018 21:56

@eltzbee that looks better lol. Wouldn’t worry about that dip today at all, fingers crossed it’s for a good reason xx

FlapJackered · 23/11/2018 22:02

Evening all!
I went to the docs today and asked about the risks of Soy Isoflavones. She said they are very unlikely to cause major issues with your cycle which is good news. She said she wouldn't expect miracles but she prescribes them for menopause symptoms and they are nothing scary...So I may give them ago in January!
6 dpo today this tww is draggging but actually feel weirdly positive this cycle. Also, funny thing - I have never been able to picture myself pregnant before this cycle and now I can picture my pregnant and a little one running around. I am really hoping it's a positive sign!!

@MrsAW2018 sorry you're feeling so low lovely. It is really tough isn't it, especially when you get into that black hole of negative thoughts. I know it too well. Make sure you look after yourself and be honest with your DH with how you're feeling so you have some support. X

@Rachael321 sorry about AF lovely. At least you can enjoy some mulled wine in the run up to Christmas though!

@Crossfitgirl that's so lovely your DH is getting involved now and making plans! Glad your house move is going well. Not long to wait now, keeping everything crossed for you!

@EltzBee it sounds like Ff is a bit confused with your chart this cycle. Will keep fingers crossed you get a rise tomorrow! It's so frustrating when the temps don't do what they are meant to!

EltzBee · 23/11/2018 22:14

@FlapJackered that's interesting to know, good to have a knowledgeable GP! Haha yes, naughty temp not doing what it's meant to do and rising lol.

@sunshine1987 fingers crossed.

Crossfitgirl · 23/11/2018 23:01

Ooh @babysquid that sounds exciting! Do let us know in the morning! Move to oz!! Wow! That's a big move!
Thanks @purplefig happy weekend to you too!
@eltzbee could it be an implantation dip or is it wishful thinking? The charts can be a bit crazy, mine was mental last month too! So annoying when you don't know what's going on. Are you waiting for AF or testing before you're due? Any symptoms?
@flapjackered that's good to know about the soy isoflavones, I'm considering them myself after reading that thread you posted. But how do you know what dosage etc to take? Also, we are cycle buddies! I am also 6dpo! Flo is predicting a 23 day cycle though cos of my short LP so I don't think I'm actually due that soon. Or maybe I am... i dont know! Ovulated so early, it's strange!
It's lovely picturing your own little ones isn't it :-) keep up the positivity!

Night night, getting some sleep to help my little baba that is definitely inside me somewhere implant!! 😜

EltzBee · 23/11/2018 23:54

@Crossfitgirl I will probably end up giving in and POAS before the weekend is out 😂 I've it some cheapo strips in the house.

I did an OPK earlier when my temp was having me paranoid and it wasn't a pos or neg, but usually they are completely neg for me after ovulation. My cycle is just trying o confuse me lol.

Only symptom I have is the same as I get in LP all the time so nothing new but worse than usual at the moment. Tmi but Insane gassiness and bloating, it's embarrassing!

cupcakesandglitter · 24/11/2018 00:59

Thank you @purplefig @stormtrooperjulian @EltzBee @FlapJackered @sunshine1987 I'm definitely relieved!! Like flapjackered, I'm starting to be able to see myself pregnant more and just feeling a lot more positive now overall!!

Ooh @purplefig @Delilah7 I have ridiculously thick hair too!! And it's getting greasy so quickly with me touching it and putting it up when I Cba to do anything with it... I had the chop and absolutely loved it!! I did miss long hair a bit so I've grown it out to a lob but it's soooo much easier to handle! doesn't stop my nephew from pulling on it Xx

@purplefig sorry I missed it but I reckon like me you caught the surge.. you may not have ovulated yet so keep DTD!!! Xx

@MrsAW2018 Sorry to hear that sweet, please do look after yourself... please do talk to us whenever you feel like it if you don't want to speak to your GP. Depression is a bitch 😡

@Rachael321 sorry for AF x

@Crossfitgirl awww that's so sweet of him to say!!! Fx you get your BFP soon ❤️ bless his heart for being patient enough to read through any Mumsnet thread 😂😂❤️ xx

BabySquid · 24/11/2018 07:39

Well... a resounding negative 👎🏻 dunno why I bothered, I didn't feel pregnant like last time!
Oh well... bring on AF on Tuesday.
I'm just upset coz now we've decided to wait a couple of months. Maybe it's what I need?? Who knows. Back on it for Jan/Feb

MrsEG · 24/11/2018 07:55

@GemmaJen I do a lot of running too so it’s been driving me a bit insane - it does wonders for my mind and I know it’s safe for pregnancy but I wondered for so long if I’d caused my own MC - crazy I know! Hope you’re own training has been keeping your mind off things!

@FlapJackered @EltzBee @SullyWifey @purplefig Thanks ladies - so nice to know it isn’t just me slowly driving myself mad! And thanks for the advice - I really need to look in to mindfulness :)

I caved yesterday and wondered if my symptoms could be good but no, BFN at 12dpo. Fully expecting AF on Monday now, so am just going to try and enjoy my weekend and put it to the back of my mind!

SullyWifey · 24/11/2018 08:11

Woken up with the worst period pain this morning and boobs are starting to get tender. Urgh. 9DPO.

EltzBee · 24/11/2018 08:43

@SullyWifey ah no that sucks. 9dpo is early? Is that 'normal' for you? Look after yourself lovely.

Temp up a little today to above the cover line, but think it's a little inaccurate today cos I spent over an hour trying to fall back asleep and failing to stop DH snoring!

stormtrooperjulian · 24/11/2018 08:49

@Crossfitgirl @BabySquid we moved into our ‘family home’ this year too. So much space and only two of us to use it, need to get on with the baby making!

@FlapJackered good to know that soy isoflavones are unlikely to cause major issues, might look in to them further, from that link you posted they look promising! Glad you’re feeling more positive and able to picture yourself having a baby, that’s got to be a good thing!

@BabySquid sorry about the bfn. Maybe it’s just too early?

@SullyWifey do you usually get cramps at 9dpo? Could it be implantation?

MrsEG · 24/11/2018 09:07

@SullyWifey Look after yourself! 9dpo, you’re not out yet. Take care and try and enjoy your weekend
