@cupcakesandglitter woo that's great news! Oh gosh yes I find when I'm approaching my period I get so clumsy, forgetful, almost 'ditzy'! It must be the hormones!

@MrsEGA haha, yep, obsession isn't the word! Literally first thing I think about as I do my temp straight away, and last thing I think about, making sure any things I've noticed/experienced are logged in my app.

So temperature dropped AGAIN this morning. I have no idea what is up with my cycle this month. I'm not due on til middle of next week :( have uploaded it here for you ladies to have a look??

Feeling gutted that it looks like I'm out already. :( :( :(

My temps have been all over the shop this month, despite being done immediately after waking up every single day. Last months were much clearer.

WARNING! Incoming novel @crossfitgirl style....

@EltzBee that's really annoying! Did he apologise? Give him a lecture on emotional labour and the fact that delegating household chores is itself 'work' Wink. I snapped at mine the other day after we'd been talking about all the ways in which women organise 'TTC'. The only thing I'd ask of him was to cut down on coffee (which he has) and get himself some vitamins...which he had not.

@ValidUser that only sounds fair! Cycle one here you goooo! I'm really excited for you and your unblocked tube [GRIN]

@cupcakesandglitter Great news!! I've found since coming off of BC I keep mixing up words, I'm sure it's just coincidental but it's bloody annoying.

@stormtrooperjulian Happy Friday! As for Christmas decorations...mine are going up the very first day of December ho ho ho!!

@delilah7 so glad it's all going well. I love a fresh haircut! After years of growing my hair as long as possible, I'd forgotten what non-split ends feel like. Super luxurious! What are you having done?

@MrsEG It is really, really hard. I was speaking with DH about this only last night, I had no idea how emotionally taxing this would all be. And I'm only on my 3rd cycle! I think it's largely in part because it's all happening within our bodies - so even if we try and think of other things any twinge or symptom immediately snaps us back to TTC. I don't know about you, but I've found the first half of my cycle easy peasy, track your fertility, have lots of sex, fine. But it's the wait afterwards I can't stand. Every single time I've ended up in tears at least one! Anyway, I've found the following to be quite helpful and keep me as sane as possible:

  1. Practice mindfulness. Try whenever possible to live in the moment. Accept that my worrying or fretting or rumination is ultimately pointless and just my futile human desire to try and control the uncontrollable.
  1. Write gratitude lists. It's easy when caught up with TTC to focus on what you don't have (a positive OPK, a BFP, a baby etc.) but that that can lead to a very negative spiral in my experience. Writing down things you're grateful for every day FORCES you to see what you do have, and it's usually more than you'd initially think. This has been a real game changer for me, if I keep at it it totally changes my whole outlook on life. You're basically training yourself to seek out the positive in life.
  1. Keep busy. If I have time on my hands during the 2ww, you better bet I'll end up ruminating and googling every single symptom. Instead make plans, see people you love, exercise, have sex for the pure enjoyment of it, volunteer, learn to knit...whatever just go and do stuff. It makes the time go quicker if nothing else!

WHAT A RAMBLE. Well today I am feeling fairly positive. Yesterday I got a moving-towards-a-positive-opk AND lots of EWCM so I feel for the first time in a long time that I'm confident everything is going in the right direction. Genuinely excited to OPK today...gosh this TTC malarkey has turned me into one very sad individual [GRIN]

Delilah7 · 23/11/2018 10:40

@purplefig thanks babe! I know love it! Hair feels super greasy right now too so defo looking forward to someone else washing it 😂😂😂 I'm gonna just have a trim up I think but I want it abit shorter. It's halfway down my back but I'm thinking of having it to my boobs instead?
Love your essays 😍😍😍 such a babe.

sunshine1987 · 23/11/2018 10:41

@eltzbee wouldn’t say you were out yet at all, when is AF due? Could very easily be an implantation dip at that many days PO x

purplefig · 23/11/2018 10:47

@Delilah7 bahaha thanks - I am excellent at procrastination Wink. I recently had several inches lopped off and went from waist length to just covering boob length. I thought I'd miss the length but I really, really don't. It's made taking care of my hair (washing, untangling etc.) so much easier. Speaking of which I totally get you on the someone else washing your hair front...I've actually tactically booked a haircut the day before we leave for Christmas hols so I don't have to bothered with it! Anyway with you're little one on the way you'll surely be going for the classic mumsnet lob soon!?

Delilah7 · 23/11/2018 10:49

@purplefig my hair is so thick and gets so tangled WHATEVER I do! So I need something to help it and I think getting some of it chopped off is the way forward!!! 😍 plus less for a baby to pull when he or she is born next year hahaha

purplefig · 23/11/2018 10:52

@Delilah7 I think we're hair twins, mine is ridiculously thick too. I urge to be brave and get some inches gone, it'll help edge you towards the mum lob when the babe arrives!!

EltzBee · 23/11/2018 10:53

@purplefig not much, he got all defensive and stroppy that he'd been 'told off' (men!!!). I will admit I did go into all the things that I've been annoyed about lately! The stupidest thing is this arguement was trigger over bloody THERMOSTATS. Seriously, heating controls is what triggered it. I'm blaming hormones for my losing patience/straw that broke the camels back lol.

@sunshine1987 I've always had an 11 or 12 day luteal phase, so based on that the earliest I would expect AF is Monday (11 days) or Tuesday (12days). Last month my temp didn't dip dramatically like this til the day off my period. Can implantation dip be over 2 days though? My temp shop up to the 36.9s two days ago, then came crashing down. Grr!

Feel really hormonal so am worried my body has messed up this month and coming on early :(

Delilah7 · 23/11/2018 11:10

@purplefig my face will be too fat to do that 😂😂😂

SullyWifey · 23/11/2018 11:20

Morning ladies!

I am back to work today and feeling miles better, just gotta kick this lurking cough!

@EltzBee We all know we not out until the fat lady sings (in our case AF arriving!) Im still thinking this COULD be an implantation dip?!! Im just putting it out their into the world! But really, who knows, we just have to wait until next week to know for sure darling, dont feel down yet as there no use for it yet. Lets only feel shit once per cycle ok, its hard enough as it is. Sending you bit hugs. We got this!!xxx

@MrsEG Oh huns....what can I say...11 cycles in and it doesn't get any better, although I am trying to manage it more as DH said I am verging on the edge of psychotic. I HATE how it takes over 50% of my day. Like the girls said, every single boob ache, tummy cramp I am questioning it, and hoping and praying it will be my time! (Even though I know there is a high chance i'm not going to fall until iv had my Lap, I still have to keep trying regardless)

It stresses me out PMS are very similar to those of early PG, because every month I google symptoms and Im like..ooo this could be it!!

One thing I will say is that, I dont know whether I am just having a good month, but so far I haven't had any meltdowns like I normally do, I am hoping I have turned a corner where I have accepted its not going to happen as easy for me as it will for most and that I just have to keep living life in the meantime.

@Deliah I am so glad your sounding so much more positive! I am also joining in with a the hair gang tomorrow, Im actually going something something very different and going GREY! Im excited, I really need a change up..

@Purplefig glad to hear you are also in a good place! In the words of Ronan Keating....Life is a roller coaster just gotta ride it.

Much love to you all, Happy FriYay x x x x

DayDreamer1707 · 23/11/2018 11:51

@GemmaJen I am hoping the pinkish CM meant something positive, I am trying the One Step Ovulation strips and waiting for a positive on them. I definitely never really paid attention to things before where as i'm aware of everything now! I didn't do a test until about 3 and half weeks after, got a negative and then AF followed. Also sounds like your body is getting into the swing of it already. a day or 2 out isn't bad at all. Did you try this month then? x

EltzBee · 23/11/2018 11:56

@SullyWifey thanks m'dear. Sorry for being miserable, I know I need to pull myself together and '(wo)man up' . Will try and save the emotional outpour for when the wicked witch arrives!

My oldest cat is being cuddly today (he's not usually a cuddly cat), so that's cheering me up a bit :) he obv's felt sorry for his human-mum!

Delilah7 · 23/11/2018 12:49

@SullyWifey THATS EXCITING!! Grey looks lovely!!! 😍

SullyWifey · 23/11/2018 12:57

@EltzBee I was just trying to send you positivity honey, but if you want to have a low day, just embrace that too!! There's no right or wrong and It's super hard to be strong all the time. I just don't know why but I got good feelings for you this month. Also pets have been known to sense these things...sooo....?! Hehe xx

sunshine1987 · 23/11/2018 13:02

@eltzbee your temp on day 7 though was taken earlier/later than usual, could have been higher had it been at the same time as normal. There’s a way of checking online what it would be here; www.whenmybaby.com/basalbodytemperature.php

MrsR16 · 23/11/2018 13:28

@Delilah7 I'm so happy for you hun! You've had such a journey to get to this point! Hair cuts are the best - I'm having mine done tonight 😁 xx

Delilah7 · 23/11/2018 13:29

@MrsR16 just trying to stay positive - just don't wanna go into floaty mode lol. 😍 can't wait. Hair feels horrible lol xx

MrsR16 · 23/11/2018 13:33

@Delilah7 you're doing a great job hun! I'm in the same boat... I'm having it put up tomorrow for this fancy dinner I'm going to, which I'm really looking forward to! Xx

Delilah7 · 23/11/2018 13:35

@MrsR16 I've got a wedding and just not looking forward to it. I don't wanna put heels on or a tight dress. I haven't prepared for it so didn't get s new dress that abit looser. :( and I won't wanna stay there long as I'm just so tired!!! Xx

GemmaJen · 23/11/2018 13:50

@DayDreamer1707 we are yes, just waiting to see if I get a peak on cb opk. Or a temp change. But if not then just want AF to come and go so I can make some sense of next cycle.

All this talk about haircuts and my hair is getting very neglected, it's frizzy and thick. Might have to see if I can get a kerratin done for Xmas Smile
@SullyWifey wish I was brave enough to go grey it does look lovely. A change is really refreshing sometimes x

MrsR16 · 23/11/2018 13:59

@Delilah7 oh that will be good until you become tired out! It must be difficult trying to keep your exciting news from people too (if that's what you're trying to do) xx

EltzBee · 23/11/2018 14:39

Right, I've updated my temperatures for the past few days (thanks for the link @sunshine1987 - hopefully it is sensible times now).

Still weird and spiky, updated graph attached :)

Will be bookmarking that link for other days!!

sunshine1987 · 23/11/2018 14:48

@eltzbee honestly it’s so helpful. I note the actual temp in the notes and input the changed data as the actual temp input. I woke up two hours early the other day and messed my chart up and then when I changed it it looked way better. I reckon you’ll get an increase in temp again tomorrow x

ValidUser · 23/11/2018 15:00

@KatBeCool the speculum was the worst part. Even the unblocking of my left tube was unremarkable!

7/10, might recommend

purplefig · 23/11/2018 15:03

So I've just done today's OPK and it's faded since yesterday. So I'm thinking yesterday might have been my surge? I was expecting it to get a bit stronger though.

Hmm. Going to test again this evening and make sure I definitely haven't drank too much / wee'd.
