Hi! TTC (trying to conceive) for a while now, I think I may have had a chemical pregnancy/miscarriage two months ago as my period came super heavy a week late. Last months was regular. Then this month I was 9 days late, BFN, then started spotting brown/pink that has been super light and lasted for a week:(. Another BFN (big fat negative (pregnancy test)) on the 5th day of spotting (2 days ago). I have read that you should wait until spotting stops. Has anyone else experienced this and got a BFP (big fat positive (pregnancy test)) late?? Or should I give up hope and start trying to figure out when I ovulate again? I have been doing wayyy to much research and it is driving me crazy. The symptons are very like implantation bleeding other than it is too late, and too long. I do have other symptions- super nauseous, not to the point of throwing up, light cramps and very tender/sore breasts, tired and bloated. How long do you think I should wait till taking another test? Its so hard getting my hopes up and seeing the BFN.

Sorry, I have no success stories or experience to share unfortunately but going through the same thing.I started spotting 3 days before AF was due...I'm now on the 7th day without an actual period/red bleed. I have a telephone appointment with the doctor on Friday because I've been TTC for 11 months and assume it's just a messed up cycle but want to ask what I should class as day 1 and what to do next! I'll report back on their advice! Good luck, I hope you get your BFP this month x

Hi! Londonkex,
Do you normally have regular cycles? If so I would tell them the first day of your last period, thats how they usually measure I think. Not to get your hopes up too much but I think spotting before AF is good! I've done a TON of research, and this is very normal for implantation bleeding. Have you taken any tests? Would love to hear their advice! Thank you, and any further updates. I hate how all of these threads have a million questions without updates, I feel like I've spent hours scrolling through just to find a couple. I will definitely update too regardless!

I'm the same, I've read so many threads to not ever see an answer, so I'll definitely report back either way!
My cycles are 27-29 days. I've always been on time and my flow is exactly the same every month, so this is really strange for me. I tested yesterday morning and it was BFN, which I already expected. I think this is a new cycle and if it is, do I count from the first day of spotting or the only day I actually had anything on my pad (which was only a spot, sorry for the TMI!)?! So many questions!

Does anovulation fit? Have a google to see. If so, it's very very normal.

LondonKez · 16/11/2018 14:32

I just had a look, thanks @physicskate! I'm fairly sure I ovulated based on my bbt rise, but equally confident I'm not pregnant as my bbt dropped back below my cover line on the day AF was due.

@123tyga The doctor said it's either a very light period or a pregnancy. She's asked me to test again in the morning and go in for a blood test on Monday. If both come back negative, then keep an eye on my cycle and report back to her next month if my period arrives and is not back to normal.

Your cycle can just be messed up. I had 6 days of spotting before my actual period started. I’ve done research and it makes sense. Certain things like food, drinks or stress can effect your cycle. Pay attention to any changes of diet etc. For example too much caffeine can cause a rise in estrogen. same w alcohol, which can cause estrogen to rise, lowering progesterone and causing spotting etc before period.

LondonKez · 16/11/2018 15:17

I think my cycle is just a bit messed up to be honest @Mamabear12! And likely to be self induced stress!
