Coming off the pill early / controlling AF! >>>

I just wondered what experiences people had when coming off the pill?
My fiancé and I are getting married next year and hope to start trying for a baby straight away. I have been on Microgynon for 3 years and am contemplating coming off the pill 3 or 4 months before the wedding to prepare my body for TTC.
My main worry is AF turning up on my wedding day / honeymoon. If I went back to a normal cycle, would AF start 28(ish) days after my breakthrough bleed?
Of course I know that I may not go straight back to normal, but I have crunched some dates to try and work out when to come off if I do decide to do so.
Any advice on my situation / coming off the pill generally would be appreciated! Thanks x

Nobody can tell you how your bodies going to react!
My experience after taking microgynon for 2 years was a breakthrough bleed and then I didn't get an actual period again for a whole year. I wasn't ttc though so I have no idea if I was ovulating or not.
Others start their normal periods again straight away!
I honestly don't think there's any point working out dates, cycles are all over the place for lots of people

You can get tablets from your GP to stop you getting your period of it is due over your wedding

I came off micrognon after 10 or so years in April - I didn't have a break through bleed but "reset" into my old period schedule straight off. That wasn't 30 days after I stopped taking it; but when I used to have it before the pill.

I'm not trying to conceive but I'm having some tests for medical reasons and I'm ovulating etc as normal.

Its luck of the draw; I think. You can get a tablet from the doctor to delay your period if it does fall across your wedding day; but it does have a reputation for messing with your cycle (although it didn't effect mine). You also need to start taking it before your period starts. I think I would just stay on the pill until after the wedding instead of doing that if I'm honest; at least your body is used to that.

I came off in April this year (for various reasons but not to get pregnant), didn't get my first AF until July and also had visions of it arriving again on my wedding day (beginning of September) but it arrived smack bang in the middle of my honeymoon (13th Sep)! I haven't had an AF since but we only officially started trying on honeymoon.

Your body may go back to being like clockwork or it could take a while like mine to return to normal. If I was you I would just wait until wedding, then come off the pill. People do get pregnant straight after coming off the pill :)
