Hi,

I've been ttc since March 2017, and have had 2 MC. The last MC was November 2016, and I've booked an appointment to see my GP next week.

What should I expect? Is there anything in particular I should ask?

You should ask to get the ball rolling on blood tests, swabs and a referral. They'll probably want your dh to get tested before they refer me. Mine did.

I'm just waiting for my referral to be sent off. Getting the sperm tested, swabs and all the correct blood tests done has somehow taken 3 months! Doesn't help my gp surgery closes for 2 hours at lunch so I never get a chance to call them as I'm at work!

Yes as above op, didn't want to read and run but wanted to say sorry to hear of your mc and good luck for your appointment. I'd stress how you want testing asap as sometimes they can be blase especially if you have fallen before they might say to leave it a bit longer x

My GP started by requesting blood tests to be done on day 21 of my cycle. She also requested a semen analysis for my partner - if you can take your partner with you to the appointment it might save time.
