Not sure where to post this!..
I've been given my date for my laparoscopy, 26th of this month.
What prep did you do before the lap? Anything to take to the hospital or to have prepared for when you get home?
Thanks!Smile

I didn't prepare for any of my 3.just be prepared for the shoulder pain. I had it twice and although short lived it was agony. Massaging it helped.

I had a laparoscopy in July - I agree that the wind/shoulder pain is the worst bit. I took peppermint oil capsules with me (from H&B) which I think helped the wind - and peppermint tea too!

I would say ask for a sickness injection before surgery. Have lots of peppermint tea. Have painkillers to hand. And rest up. It's not as bad as I had thought it'd be.

Do take an overnight bag in case you are asked to stay over. It does happen quite frequently.

You might bleed a little bit after the surgery so take sanitary pads.
