For those who spotted... when did you feel confident you were pregnant

Just that really.

I got a faint line on frer 9dpo, had some light pink blood when wiped 10dpo in morning but after no more rest of the day tested in evening and line was strong.

Had some small spotting of brown blood on and off for last three days ( maybe half a dozen times I've noticed but other times I'm wiping and nothing there for hours at a time)

Still testing on frers and still strong positive bfps. Also did digital at 12dpo which came up pregnant 1-2 weeks.

Oh also no cramps but getting the odd twinge if that is right word?

So tomorrow I'm 14dpo.

I'm just wondering when I will feel confident in saying I'm pregnant? At the moment the spotting is just making me nervous to say it.

Any experience from anyone? I know my answer is too wait but it may help me pass the time

Thank you xxx

Not until after the spotting had stopped -- a clear week without it by 10 weeks in my first pregnancy, seven weeks in the second. Second time I knew I had a subchorionic hematoma. It's horrible, all you can do is take it day by day.

OneMoreWish · 12/11/2018 21:54

Thanks for replying @hopsalong , and for timeline. Gives me something to focus on xx

I took 10 tests, that's how I confident I felt. I'm now nearly 6 weeks and I still don't feel confident. Starting to feel nauseous now and Getting an early scan in 2 weeks, which I hope will make it feel more official. Basically, it may take a while for you to feel pregnant. You just have to trust the line!

RMarieClaire · 12/11/2018 21:58

How unconfident I felt that should say!

MonkeyToucher · 13/11/2018 08:09

I had similar spotting with my first pregnancy - to be honest I didn’t really believe all was ok until I had a scan. I booked one privately when I was about 8 weeks and had spotting right up until then. Once I’d seen a heartbeat I finally relaxed a bit but had bleeding on/off for the whole first trimester that was never explained!

Waitingonasmiley42 · 13/11/2018 09:33

I felt more confident once the spotting had stopped. I didn't trust everything was ok until after an early scan. I spotted on and off throughout first trimester in both pregnancies and both were healthy.

Good luck!

Going to be really honest...

i spotted the first time round and i miscarried.

2nd time i spotted and ended up in hospital at 6 weeks they thought it was not viable.. he very much is and currently booting the crap out of my bladder! But i have bled twice during this pregnancy.

Dosent always end badly with spotting but I wouldnt shout from the rooftops till 12 week scan if im honest now!

Im 6.5 months..and just believing it...!

xJune88 · 13/11/2018 16:14

Currently 14 weeks and had spotting and major bleeds all the way so far I have a extra chrononic hemorrage (ECH) and do not feel safe or confident at all!! X

OneMoreWish · 13/11/2018 19:13

Thank you ladies for your replies. I've googled as well so I'm aware of the two outcomes hence feeling nervous about believing im pregnant.

Not spotted for almost two days I think now so I'm just trying to take each day as it comes... xxxxx

Hi i just wanted to put in my two penny worth. I spot most months from around 10dpo and still to this point never had a bfp after 2 years, therefore I'd say that a positive test and time would be the only things for me which I'd believe

artemis2 · 13/11/2018 21:28

I really recommend you see your doctor. While spotting in early pregnancy can be completely normal, it could also be a sign of ectopic pregnancy. Hopefully they'll scan you and check baby has implanted correctly. Good luck!

OneMoreWish · 13/11/2018 21:33

Thanks @artemis2 I haven't spotted any more brown blood ( and only a handful of times ) for nearly two days.

I'm only 14dpo today. I have viability scan booked for early December xx

I found out I was pregnant 5 days after doing the deed. Which was super early had brown implantation bleeding at around 8 days after.

Went for scan at 4w due to previous ectopic. Diagnosed pregnancy unknown location. Finally saw baby at 6w on ultrasound but was just an egg sac yolk and fetal pole. But was implanted in right place.

Had a bleed at 8 weeks. Pink spotting every day for 10 days. Had emergancy scan at 8w4d which showed a 2nd empty sac a vanishing twin and a small haemorage around it. But the other baby had a strong heart beat. So it started to feel more real.

Had a few more spotting episodes that week.

But it was only really the 12w scan I thought ok so I am pregnant. Then probally around 16w when I started feeling baby move I felt less anxious.

This pregnancy has been full of worry. However at 26w she is currently using my cervix as a trampolene so feel reassured shes all snug in there wiggling about.

If you are type of person statistics help? There are certain websites that show your misscarridge probality each day. Not for everyone I know. But it really helped me to see it drop each week.

OneMoreWish · 13/11/2018 21:45

Wow @Notquiteagandt what a journey! Glad you have a little bean is growing well - even if they are using you as a trampoline!

I found that website earlier actually and looking at the odds did help actually.

I remember in my first pregnancy I worried too for other reasons and someone told me a nice saying to keep saying to myself 'today I am pregnant' . I've already started reminding myself of it!

Xx

@OneMoreWish good luck with everything and dont be afraid to reach out for reassurance at epu or your dr if you have any worrys. They may not scan you but they can do bloods etc just to put your mind at ease. I am sure it will all be ok though Xx

OneMoreWish · 13/11/2018 21:56

@OneMoreWish I had a positive test on Monday and had some spotting the day before in the afternoon. So, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday I have had some spotting in the afternoon, a blob of ewcm the first day it was brown/pink the next two days it had a pink tinge to it. Going to wait until I have 2 days of no spotting at all then take another test to be sure. Period not actually due until Thursday though so very early days for me. I hope everything goes well for you in your pregnancy xxxx
