Positive stories with newly diagnosed Uterine Fibriods

I everyone! Hope you are all well.

I was diagnosed with Uterine fibroids 2 weeks ago. After suffering with 2 MC's this year, the latest one in August I started having mid cycle bleeds and sex was getting painful. After speaking to the doctor who is a specialist in women's health and who has looked after me both times, she sent me for scans.

It's only 1 and not that big, about the size of a UK 5p piece. I know it's not serious, the doctor told me that but she didnt mention if it could have been the cause of the MC's. I was wondering if anyone on here has any positive pregnancy stories who has fibroids?

They are unlikely to cause miscarriage unless they're submucosal (stick into the uterine cavity) or very large (10cm plus).

I'm now pregnant (through ivf after two and a half years ttc and two chemicals early on in ttc) and have a 3 cm intramural/subserosal fibroid that was caused by clomid a year ago.

I have five. Took a while to get pregnant but no problems whatsoever after that.

@Physicskate thanks for that. I did see your posts a while ago that you are pregnant, massive congratulations!

@LewisMam that's good news!

They haven't given me any other details than the size so I'm assuming they aren't concerned at all. I was very worried though due to the "attachment" site of the egg.

I found out I had a 10cm fibroid when I was scanned during my first pregnancy - it didn't cause me any problems in terms of the pregnancy, but I was told fibroids can make you more susceptible to pph, although this wasn't an issue for me luckily. I am currently ttc 2, and had a miscarriage in July, but my doctor assured me that the fibroid was very unlikely to be the cause (more likely to have been age related.).

@Kintan thank you for your positive comment. I think when you're ttc every tiny bit of news that is fertility related just blows the mind and I personally come to all kinds of my own conclusions.

I get you there!! They found the (then tiny) fibroid during my first clomid cycle when they were tracking my ovulation. I cried. I was upset they 'found something wrong' when it wasn't even what they'd been looking for. But really it turned out to be no big deal.
