It's generally about 14 days (ish) before af starts. So Dtd every other day from cd 6/7 and you should be covered.

Hi there OP,

We hope you don't mind, we're moving this thread to Conception - we think you'll get more appropriate support there.

i got some ovulation sticks from amazon they helped me work out when my fertile period was.You dip them in your first pee of morning about a week after you finished your period.test each day till you see two strong lines not faint but strong lines that will be your fertile day.

I found out mine was about 8-10 days after my period but every one is different thus why they are good to work out when your fertile

worked for me currently pregnant after a few months of trying

Hiya physicsKatie

Thankyou for taking the time to read and answer my post however I’m not sure what you mean my DTD and cd and do you think that would affect the different lengths they have been

Hiya rosedream

Thankyou for taking the time to read my post and congrats on your pregnancy !

I have thought about ovulation kits however didn’t know when to start them which now thanks to you I do around I say day 8 but it also the expensive of them ?? As once you start it an every day thing

But with just coming of the pill and having two different lengths in cycles it may be my only option x

Cd = cycle day

Dtd = do the deed (have sexual intercourse)

Thankyou physicskate in an ideal world that sounds fantastic but in realality that won’t happen not with a little one

You can get super cheap OPKs from Amazon or EBay - £5 for 30 with a few HPTs thrown in.

Tracking CM (cervical mucus) was the easiest way for me to pinpoint fertile days so maybe read up on that.

Hopefully your cycle will regulate now you’ve been off the pill a few months and you can predict things a bit easier.

i got a pack of 60 for a tenner on amazon .The first two months i used a lot of them but the third month i knew around what time what day my fertile day was.So i would start testing a few days before it that way i used much less tests
