Frer early test +ve or indent

This post is for the non sensible people who can't resist testing early .

Argh!

Frer are killing me. Anyone think they have changed slightly so you can always find a faint line if you test early?

Last month I had spotting 3/4 days before af and tested during that period and definitely had what I thought was a line at 12dpo and then next day mid morning period started heavy.

I was so up and down last month with hopes dashed when I saw some spotting then hope when it stopped.

Don't really want another month like that. Probably shouldn't have tested early but that's me!

At 9dpo fmu I thought I saw a faint line but about an hour later when I wiped there was some pink on tissue. Cue hopes dashed and panty liner on.

Nothing all day and so I tested in evening and there was a line but I kept doubting whether pink or grey.

Tested again 10dpo fmu and same line like last night.

Now I'm terrified to go toilet in case I wipe and there's blood...

I just wonder if implantation has worked or if it's indent fooling me like last month

I know the answer is just to wait ( and go the toilet at some point!) but I just needed to tell someone. Last month I told my parents as I was so sure I had got pregnant. They got really excited and then the next day I had to say no.

If it happens again I think I'm going to stop using frer early!

If anyone has read all this thank you! Pic shows from right 9dpo fmu, 9dpo, and then 10dpo fmu ( I think... I've got the two frers with lines slightly mixed up so not sure that's 100% correct order)

Congratulations!

That's great news! Congratulations!!!

I am still spotting too, been spotting since 5 days period due for 3 days and now I am 5 days after it was due and have been spotting for last 3 days. Going to phone doctor on Friday for an appointment and will ask for an early scan too. Worried that it will probably be an internal scan though :( not looking forward to that.

Good luck with the scan hope it goes well. Seems promising with the pregnancy test!! :)

JugglingMummyof2 · 22/11/2018 13:32

Such good news OP. @ChikiTIKI Internal scan is fine - probe is a suitable size(!) and does not hurt at all - not even uncomfortable in my X4 experience.
Good luck

ChikiTIKI · 04/12/2018 21:36

Saw GP today and been told to turn up at the hospital tomorrow... Probably going to have a scan. Hoping and praying all will be well.

OneMoreWish · 05/12/2018 11:51

Good luck @ChikiTIKI

I had my scan yesterday and baby was there with strong heartbeat and measurements fine for 7 weeks. I cried with relief

Don't worry about dildo cam - it's painless and so exciting to see baby xxx

Hi @OneMoreWish congratulations on your scan result.

I had a scan this morning, they said the baby measured 3.8mm apparently 6 weeks but there is no heartbeat visible yet and the sac is an irregular shape. They didn't show me the screen. Got to go back in a week for another scan...

Found out I have I have cervical ectopy which means my cervix is red and sore and that's probably what's causing the bleeding at the moment. Preparing for the worst though. Thinking it's not good news at all sadly xxxx

OneMoreWish · 05/12/2018 18:29

Hi @ChikiTIKI I'm no expert but reading through lots of threads on here I'm not sure it's 100% there would be a heartbeat at six weeks?

I have my fingers tightly crossed for you for your scan next week xxx

ChikiTIKI · 05/12/2018 18:35

Thanks @OneMoreWish :)
I think the irregular shaped sac was the main concern, I don't know what shape it was though.

I can't help but be hopeful, just trying not to be TOO hopeful :)

I appreciate your kind thoughts thank you xxxxx

Hello just a little update from me - I'm now at 12 weeks and all seems well with baby so far.

I think spotting stopped by about 8 weeks

Thanks for those who offered advice and support and good luck to anyone reading this thread who is currently in early pregnancy but spotting xxx

That's great news @OneMoreWish congratulations :) glad to hear your spotting has stopped.

Sadly I had a miscarriage mid December. I just felt like something wasn't right from the beginning so while it was very sad, it wasn't a real shock. Feeling ok now.

Wishing you the best for your pregnancy and beyond! Xxxx

OneMoreWish · 02/03/2019 22:36

@ChikiTIKI sorry replying so late and very sorry to hear about your loss xxxxx

It's been a bit of a roller coaster for anyone who may be interested still. At 14 weeks I had large red bleed. Had reassurance scan and placenta over entrance to uterus so thought baby had kicked it but also told me I need to be more careful until 20 week and hopefully placenta would have moved.

Had two more red bleeds and lots of brown blood in between - so much so it stopped shocking and scaring me.

I had 20 week scan today and baby there alive and well and all organs and growth spot on.

So my little tinker is keeping me on my toes and I guess I'm becoming one of those statistics /stories of women who bleed but pregnancy carries on.

Wishing anyone reading this thread well with your conception/ pregnancy xxxxx

Just read your story and wanted to say best wishes for the rest of your pregnancy x

OneMoreWish · 13/04/2020 21:26

One more update from me...

I had a few more red bleeds through rest of pregnancy, u got gestational diabetes (again) and baby sat on a nerve for the last 8 weeks of pregnancy so I had to use crutches so a bit of a difficult birth where I never fully felt confident nor did I fully enjoy like some women as I was mostly house bound. ( haha good training for now I suppose)

But last July I gave birth to a beautiful little girl.

So have faith ladies and if you get a bfp or get anxious during pregnancy, try and take each day at a time and say today I am pregnant.

Oh and there are definitely two types of women in the world - those who wait until after af due to test and those who test early and repeatedly!!

Happy with my two now but wishing lots of baby dust to all the women still trying and hoping xxxxxx
