So i did the deed on the 5th of this month, i took a clear blue 2 day ovulation test on the 4th and it was negative on the 6th i took another test and it came back positive, i did the deed twice on the 6th on the 7th then i took another and it was negative so does this mean my ovulation is over? getting loads of wet cm today as if im ovulating has anyone had this after ovulation? how accurate are the clear blue tests?

Maybe. Maybe not. Opks don't confirm you've actually ovulated, just that you're gearing up to do so.

How long have you been ttc?

LeeMiller · 09/11/2018 07:37

Opks are accurate in what they test, but can only tell you that your LH is surging, not that ovulation is definitely about to happen, so it's best not to rely completely or only on them. It's possible to have multiple surges in a month, a positive opk without ovulation actually occuring, or for ovulation to be delayed after a positive opk.

Aside from blood tests etc, temperature charting is the only at home method to know if you actually ovulated. Sex every other day throughout the fertile window is more reliable than relying only on the opk.

Agree with everything @LeeMiller has said (much better than myself).

@physicskate I had a miscarriage back in April but got pregnant on the first month trying, been trying ever since but can’t seem to pin point when my ov is due to cycle being all over the place since mc

What have you done to try to find out when you ov?

LeeMiller · 09/11/2018 14:46

The fertility friend app is good. I recommend tracking your temperature and other symptoms as well as usng opks, you'll get a fuller picture.

Katiej1996 · 09/11/2018 16:49

@physicskate I use a cycle tracking app which was great as I only used that when I got pregnant the first time I conceived first month trying and didn’t use ov tests only the app, this month i was using the Clearblue didgital ov test
