False Positive or not ? One Step

Just your advice I have take two one step pregnancy tests today after a 2 hour wee hold because they had just arrived , I'm 13DPO.

There's a faint positive on the one step midstream test but nothing on the strip, they were both dipped in same pot of urine!

Annoying me they are giving false hope has something similar other day, did a FRER yesterday and was BFN.

I can see a shadow on the first one but nothing on the second either. Not much help sorry!

Lines definitely on first one and definitely nothing on second which makes me think it's false, albeit faint the stick definitely has a line.

But I'm wondering one step are known for false positives? I had one similar other day?

Definitely something on the first one, nothing on the second but they made have separate sensitivities which, at only 13dpo, would mean that one wouldn’t show.

On a separate point, why do people pop their engagement rings on pregnancy tests?

It's meant to make the camera focus I only learnt this other day as I wondered too! 🙈

They both say in leaflets 10miu but gotta feeling it's dodgy as I had a FRER yesterday negative! Recently had a MC so don't want to give myself false hope! X

This is inverted a little, so you can see and it can up within timeframe too x

False negatives are a lot more likely than false positives on a red dye test

Bump anyone ever had false positive from One step?

I’m not much help but just thought I’d say that when I had my chemical pregnancy I had positives with clear blue plus and clear blue digital and yet still nothing at all on a one step strip test. So I just figured they’re not very sentive. Not sure though.
