Hi all,
Going to try and be as brief and non-outing as possible.

I'm in my early twenties, me and DP have been trying to conceive for well over a year now. I know I should go to the doctors about it but I'm afraid of being laughed away or not taken seriously because I'm under 25. For the record, we are lucky enough at this age to have a mortgage and both in full time, well paying jobs.

So basically I'm asking do the NHS only offer you help from a certain age?

Hi @Guacamole2506
I have just turned 24 and have recently been diagnosed with endometriosis. We've only been ttc for 2 months. Due to my condition they have said if we don't get pregnant by the end of 1 year of trying, they will help. This was NHS and age was not discussed. Hope this helps x

@molinski thank you that's really helpful! All my signs point to endometriosis too - although doctors seem to be reluctant to diagnose it still.

@Guacamole2506 bless you. Go to your GP and tell them everything that's been going on in terms of any symptoms and tell them you've been ttc for 1 year. They won't judge you on your age and if they do - make a complaint and go to a new one! If anything my drs etc were more eager to treat because of age being younger it's apparently easier to give help. X

You'll be able to get some help or advice now as you've been trying for a year. Goodluck xx
