Cycles after mc - when to do pregnancy test??

Hi, will try to keep my story short. I had a mc in September, first pregnancy after 2 months trying. Af came back after about 4 weeks so the app I am using is saying my cycle is 29 days. Before this my cycle was about 27/28. Anyway based on the first cycle since mc my app is saying af due on Sunday. I bought a first response test to use tomorrow morning. I’m feeling optimistic (dangerous feeling) as my boobs have be sore the last couple of days which is one of the first symptoms I had the last time.

I’m TTC after miscarriage also. Coming towards end of cycle 3. AF due next week. My cycles have been all over place, don’t know if it’s because I had to have D&C with my Mc. First was 27 days and 2nd 21 days and I ovulated roughly on day 7/8 this cycle and only DTD twice because I didn’t realise I was ovulating 🙊🤦🏽‍♀️ Still hoping it’s 3rd cycle lucky ! Sorry to hear about your loss, I also too lost my baby to MC on 30th Sept had ERPC on 4th October, me and DH decided to start TTC straight away as hospital said no medical reason we couldn't but would recommend Waiting for AF for dating. I really have a feeling of needing to be pregnant as I feel so empty.

I ovulated on or around 26th October and I'm nervously awaiting my first AF since MC hoping she doesn't come but feeling she is, I'm getting negatives test but have a lot of similar symptoms to when I was pregnant, really sore boobs and really Tired.

Thank you baby cakes. It’s all so confusing with cycles. Sounds like we are on similar timescales. I have my fingers crossed for you. I’m going to test in the morning. I bought a frer as I keep reading on here that they are the best ones! I spent £23 on tests today in boots. (also bought 2 clear blue digital!) it’s so expensive, I need to try and find somewhere to get cheaper tests. Or just do what I promised myself and only test when af is late though it’s so hard!

Hi October girl. It’s so tough isn’t it?! I feel
Empty too and i feel I will struggle over the Xmas and new year period if I don’t get some good news before then.

I’m thinking a lot of my “symptoms” are in my head. I keep looking at my boobs as last time they got a bit veiny. I’m also stressing about how I will feel if it happens again. I’ve got it into my head that I want to feel the complete opposite to the last time. Not sure what this is based on! X

@Dramaqueen14 Yes I also have this feeling of not wanting the same symptoms as I feel it would taint the experience!

Yes I would love to be pregnant about before new year dread the 12 week wait again.

Yes my left boob has a big vein similar to last time but because I'm only 5 weeks past MC tomorrow I don't know if my veins subsided I can't remember paying attention.

My AF is due Friday or Saturday I'll let you know if she comes.

Did you have a bad period first time after MC?xx

My first period wasn’t too bad, I was expecting worse. It was slightly longer than normal and a bit heavier but fine. Was a weird relief even though we did try before it came.

Feel like I want to just test now but I know it has to be first wee of the day and don’t want to waste a test! X

How many DPO are you?

I'm 12 DPO today had a negative by FRER but I've heard they aren't as good now, I think I might be relieved now as I've heard late implantation carries larger risk of miscarriage, this is my first and I don't want another luckily have 2 DD I'm trying for #3.

I think I am 10 DPO but this is just going by my app. Will keep you posted in the morning.

I’m trying for my first. Feel like I’m so ready to be a mum. It’s lovely you have 2 dds already. Did you have a smoother journey try them?

That’s interesting about the implantation fact.

I used clear blue digital last time and will use the frer tomorrow. I liked the digital one as you get the answer, squinting at lines is tough! X

No problems with my other DD 1, DD 2 took me six months to conceive but this was my first MC and I think tbh I was really naive to miscarriage which is a sad shame now it's my reality.

Aww hope you get your baby, must be extra tough for you, fx it's your lucky month.

I've been using the Clearblue Digital ovulation tests and I got my peak face on Thursday so think I ovulated on the Friday or at latest Saturday!

So I'm due on Friday/Saturday with my MC I got my faint positive 12DPO so I know AF is on her way xx

Did you do a test @Dramaqueen14 ? I am waiting for mine to arrive I'm 13DPO today and eager to test again xx

Hi October girl. Yeah tested at 4am as I woke up naturally to go to the loo and thought it would be better thab going and doing it at 6am. BFN I’m gutted though Af not due until Sunday. Feel like this will just be my emotional rollercoaster, feeling gutted about af/ negative test and the. Building myself up again, trying to be positive then trying again, waiting to test and repeat disappointment. It’s so tough! How are you doing? X

Just done two cheap one steps, got a faint positive on one and nothing on the strip, so must be dodgy batch as I did this afternoon!

Will retest if AF doesn't arrive by Saturday with a branded test.
