Is it possible to have implantation bleeding three days after a period? I am FREAKING out here!

Hi, I'm really looking for anyone's experience with implantation bleeding after a period. I had my period last week, and it was quite light, and finished on Friday. DTD 12 days ago, as well as on Friday, and this afternoon had a light pink smear on wiping. I've got backache and my boobs are sore, and if I didn't know better I could swear AF is on its way.

I've had no more spotting since the light pink wipe. I know the timings are off, but my periods aren't that regular, so it's hard to tell.

Please tell me your stories and reassure me!

I’ve just written a post similar so waiting for someone to answer. I had a period on time but it was one day only and heavier then nothing for 2 days then pink/brown discharge when wiping. Have mild aches too. It’s probably all in my head!

Have you taken a test? The only way it's possible is if your period wasn't a period, but implantation bleeding too. Otherwise it could be a huge variety of things. If you get a negative test and have any more irregular bleeding, see your gp.

I took a test a week after my weird period and it was a BFN but aches haven’t stopped.

I took a test this afternoon and it was negative, but it wasn't an frer. Might test again in a week if I can hold out that long

I had a weird light bleed and thought af was early and just a bit odd. The next month my period didn’t arrive - did a pregnancy test and was a blazing positive. Scan showed I was already 8 weeks!

Maybe that period was actually implantation bleeding. Take a pregnancy test and find out .

I'm going to wait a couple of days and test again with an early 10 miu test.

Can implantation cause the same symptoms as AF, like cramps and backache?

It's probably ovulation bleeding which can occur after your period usually around 7-14 days

But I've never had it before...

So annoying how we over analyse everything when we are ttcing! I would just test again in a week or so. I was going to do that but think I’m oving as I got EWCM yesterday and today. Let us know how you get on when you re-test.

I never used to have it, it just happened in my next cycle completely normal

You had AF so it can't be implantation bleeding. If you don't think AF was AF, then you probably should have a positive test by now.

Just a reminder also that spotting during pregnancy is normal, so spotting after a missed period wouldn't be implantation bleeding (that would happen before AF) - just one of those things! But if you are pregnant and spotting, do get is checked out as it can be a sign of ectopic. Good luck!

(also, if your symptoms were caused by pregnancy you'd get a positive test, so these are being caused by something else at the moment)
