Ovulation stick noob, help!

So, I was recommended by my gynaecologist to start testing for ovulation. I had an ultrasound and she found the dominant follicle on CD 10 and advised me to start ovulation testing on day 12. So I have pics of day 12-14. Did I ovulate? Because the paper says unless both lines are the same colour then it’s negative?

I would say not yet. Are you testing in the morning? You might want to test morning and evening to avoid missing it. Also, bear in mind your fertile window comes before you ovulate and then 24 hours after.

Are you tracking anything else? Worth keeping an eye on CM. And bbt if you can be bothered - I did but god it is an effort!

I found those strips so hard to read. Clear blue digital was so much easier. I tried using those strips and the line never got darker then the control.

I’ve been ttc #1 for 8 months and nothing yet. In the past I’ve just gone off ewcm and BD’d then. Now I’m 35 next month so I’ve just started being tested to see if anything is wrong. I had ewcm on day 12/13, today is 14 and it’s cleared up. In the past I would assume I’d ovulated today, but these sticks make me think otherwise. My cycles are generally 26 days. I test in the morning yes. I’ll try again tonight, but it looks like it peaked yesterday then went lighter this morning 😩

I’m in Czech Republic and the only thing I’ve found up to now is this cheapie stick nonsense 🙄 not ideal.

Are you able to order through post? Clear blue makes it much easier to read. The other ones I found useless!

I’ll have to Google it, thanks. Although on the 14th I’ll have a blood test to find out if I did ovulate for sure this month. But it would be nice to see what day I did so I can be more accurate because I’m clearly getting nowhere after 8 months and it’s fristrating not knowing what I’m doing wrong.

It’s possible you missed getting a positive opk if your cycles are 26 days you could be ovulating on day 12 and opks turn positive before you ovulate.

I just went off what my gynaecologist told me to do. She said on CD10 that the dominant follicle grows by 2mm a day and that it needed to grow at least another 4mm to be able to ovulate so I should start from day 12. I’ll try earlier next month just in case. I shouldn’t ovulate before ewcm comes though surely?

@Laurenita I had this blood test last month and on the day I got my results I also got my bfp. FX same for you. I liked CB OPKs because they give you quite a big window of warning so there's less chance of missing it.
